First of all we have ownership in SSR but we are thinking of buying addtional ownership in OKW. Because we love it! But if we only purchase 50 points from OKW would we be able to do the 11 month booking if our total stay was more than the 50 points? I hope I have made this understandable.

Thanks

nope, only if your stay totaled 50 points or less. at least thats the way i understand it. otherwise, just wait for the 7 month window, or buy more points! :) I mean, it's only money!!!!! ;)

Actually if you bank one year's points, and borrow another's, every three years you would be able to book a 150 point stay at OKW at 11 months out.

The other two years you could book at SSR 11 months out.

You need to have the full amount of points needed at the home resort you are booking at for the 11month ressies. But if you have 50 points you can always bank and borrow and have 150points for your 11 month ressies.......at least once in a while.

Only if you had banked or were willing to borrow your points from previous or future years.

Say you want to go to OKW in 2006. You had banked all 50 of your 2005 OKW points. You were willing to borrow all 50 of your 2007 OKW points. You would therefore have 150 OKW points at your disposal for use in 2006.

What you cannot do is need more than 50 points to book something at 11 months at OKW and tell them to take the rest from your SSR contract. Your SSR contract points are not available for use at OKW until the 7 month window.

The other thing you can do is book a split stay at the 11 month point, and then change the reservation at the 7 month point to move into one resort or the other. If you can't get a room at that point, you can go on the wait list. If the wait list doesn't pan out, you still have guaranteed rooms for when you want to be there.
