So I was wondering, My top 2 choices are Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Hostess. I would absolutly loveeeeeeeeeeeee to work there. I have experience with being head of the hair and makeup department for my schools curtain club and doing my little sister and her firends hair and makeup. However i have no actual salon experience. :( So what are my chances of getting this position on the CP?
& my second choice would be attractions. but i would reallly like to do a spiel attraction especially Kilimanjaro Safari. but any spiel attraction would be ok with me. So if i dont get into BBB what are my chances of getting a Spiel attraction? Oh, i almost forgot, I have been the lead in 3 musicals. Cinderella,Beauty & The Beast, & Hairspray. I know they arent really spiels but i do have experience with memorizing a plethora of lines. Would this help my chances or not really?

Thanks so much for your help!! :)

Hi there! I was a BBB hostess in my CP and I still work there :). If you want BBB for sure, you really need to convince them you're perfect for it. Salon experience is not required at all! It may help, sure, but it's not needed! The styles are very easy once you get the hang of them and there is no cutting or anything involved, so it's pretty fool proof! I am a certified make-up artist and I grew up around people who did hair for a living, but I was never trained myself. I think what really got me BBB, though, was my experience with children. I used to work at a Build-A-Bear Workshop. Your theatre experience is perfect. BBB is different from other non-character roles because it's very themed and we are essentially characters-Fairy Godmothers in Training! You can't be afraid to have fun with the kids by acting royal and sometimes silly. Sounds like you'd be great for it! If you have any questions just ask here or PM me :wizard:

:rotfl: just make sure you have notes prepared so you can wow your interviewer!

I also would love to be a BBB hostess. I have NO salon experience except cutting and dying my own hair, but that doesn't mean I can make it look good! :rotfl: But, I am taking a few psychology and sociology classes that have focused on child interaction and I adore children! I think this role would be perfect for me, but then again I am afraid of not having salon experience.

Yeahh, thats my biggest fear is the salon experience. haha. i think i am deffinatly qualified, i have worked with hair and makeup for over 4 years. & i have also volunteered in daycares & worked in a preschool. good luck to you, i hope you get BBB <3 are you doing the Spring 2012?

You girls can stop worrying about the salon experience! Seriously, no salon experience required! :) It's just a plus if you have it I'm sure. You take a class to get a hair braiding license because it's required to work in the BBB for FL law, but it's paid for and scheduled by Disney during your program. Most of the FGITs that have been there for years aren't cosmetologists either. Some are, but most aren't! The experience with the children is more important I think, considering it's all about giving them a great experience.
