Question about FP

We have been going to WDW for years and feel like we are experts there, but we will be in California this summer and are heading to DL and DCA for the first time. It looks like we will have two days so we are trying to make the most of our time. I understand the FP system at DL is the same system that was previously used at WDW but I keep reading about rides that don't have FP or rides that are not connected to the system. Can someone clarify the current FP situation please? Is it true that World of Color is not connected so I could get FP for this and still get another right away? Are there other rides like this? Are there any other differences between the old WDW FP system and the current one at DL? Thanks!!

I believe world of color and fantasmic at DL aren't connected.

The pain is just the pulling tickets for each ride and having to wait and return. The app supposedly out in CA has wait times but no free WiFi so the Internet can be spotty when park is crowded

Buzz isn't connected and the two parks aren't connected.

When Fantasmic was running, it wasn't connected either and neither were any shows/special meet and greets (Anna and Elsa used to be fast pass). WOC is the only show to pull a fast pass for at this time and it is not connected.

You can pull a new fast pass when your first expires or after two hours: whichever occurs first.

The only catch is you cannot hold a fast pass for the same ride. So say you pulled one for RSR and the return time is 2pm to 3pm. But you pulled it at 10am. You can pull another at noon, but you couldn't pull one for RSR (if any were even left by noon).
