Question about FP and party nights

I'm going to MVMCP but not going to another park that day. I know when I book FPs I can only book for the number of days on my park ticket - does purchasing my MVMCP ticket allow me to book an extra day of FPs? Or do I have to decide on a park day without FP to use those FPs on the MVMCP day?

Also, does anyone know if FP is available during the W&D half after party (Similar to the other parties, where there's a gap between when party guests arrive and the party officially starts) and if so how that works?

3. With a MNSSHP or MVMCP ticket, you can book up to 3 FP+ at MK on your party date
with windows that start between 3:30pm and 5:30pm.
4. No FP used at special events or during parties.

We have 9 day park hopper and we plan to use one day at MK the day of our party. We always arrive around 1pm, so we'll make FP+ using that ticket.
I was wondering if I could also make SDFP once I arrive using my MVMCP ticket?

You can pre-book FPs if you link your Party Tickets to a different MDE account or to Family #2 (different names) in your original MDE account.

SDFP won't work if the Party tickets are linked to the same people who have the regular tickets.

If you haven't yet linked them to your MDE, don't link them. Use them at a kiosk for SDFP.

Can I just link the tickets to different names in MDE? Like our middle names??? We just won't have them on our magic bands right??? So I would need the actual ticket I printed off???

Yes to all questions - you'll need the plastic ticket for FP access at the rides.

Do I get those at Guest Services the say of the party? Or can I get those any day before the parties? Do I need an I.D. though?

To pick up a Will Call ticket you do need ID and the Confirmation #. You can pick it up at any time prior to the party.

OKay....I printed ours off when I bought them? So will that not work for the "fake names" and 3 extra fast passes?? I went in and just added new family members with our middle names and reassigned the tickets in MDE. However.....you need the plastic card for those fast passes so how will that work if I have printed party tickets?

I arrive on Friday night, so on Sat. can I go to any guest services and have them convert my paper ticket to a plastic one????? If I use my MB to get into MK at say 3 on the party day because I went to another park that day....will I have to back out out of MK and reenter with the plastic party ticket at 4:00??? This might not be worth the three extra passes. LOL Thanks for all the help.

Ok I tried adding "family members" and transferred party tickets to those names so that we can get 3 additional fast passes with the party ticket and it does not work. I think the only way is to make a new MDE acct. I used our middle names and same last name and it didn't work. I also tried changing the last name to my maiden and that didn't work.

Will I receive the plastic tickets like we did years ago in the mail? I already made FP+ for Epcot that morning but would like to use the plastic ticket at the kiosks when we arrive in the park for MVMCP. Is that possible? Will I still be able to make 3 FP+?

Depending on how you order your Party tickets, you can have the plastic tickets mailed to you. If you choose e-ticket or Will Call, you won't have a plastic ticket sent to you.

We are staying onsite and my 60 day window to book Fps opened this morning. When I tried to book FP's for the individuals with the party tickets on the party date I got the following error.

I had the same issue (staying onsite and using phantom names for tickets). I was unable to book at 60 days but when my 30 day window opened I was able to book the fast passes. You can add the phantoms to the onsite reservation and probably book the fastpasses now but I had three and didn't want to add more names to the room reservation. At 30 days out there was still a good selection of fast passes.

Did you purchase your tickets online? And if so, Did you go back in online and add the confirmation number to your tickets? I want to try that, but I'm afraid to mess it up. It says that I can use that confirm for up to ten tickets and I have 9 MVMCP. Would doing that, bc we are staying onsite, allow me to book FP at 60 Days out? I remember reading somewhere that someone said you had to toggle names???

I purchases my tickets online and assigned them to the phantoms in my MDE just like you did. At 60 days I was able to book fast passes for regular tickets but not my phantoms. I tried toggling and all kinds of things but could not get it to work. It would say the phantom didn't have a ticket but the ticket still showed up in the MDE, it just wasn't available for the fast pass selection at that point. Since my phantoms were not actually on my room reservation they automatically opened up at the 30 day mark. From what I read, in the past you were able to book at 60 days using the umbrella method (the way we have it set up) but some reason this year it would not work for a lot of people.
