Question about Emerald Club Free Membership

I have already reserved the car for my trip next month. If I take advantage of the free membership with the link from MouseSavers, will I need to rebook the car?

Also, although I check several time a day, my rates have stayed the same. Should I keep checking? Since that will be over Easter, I'm thinking they won't come down.

When I joined, I did have to rebook. I did it the same day, I booked, so the rate stayed the same. I called to see, and they said they could not just add the club to the current profile.

Yep, you'll have to rebook with your Emerald Club membership to get the membership benefits.

I would continue to check rates as you just never know. Or at least keep checking here. Sometimes I find out about rates being lower right here!

I would most definitely check to see if rates drop, they so often do. On my last trip in December, they did not start to drop till about a month before, then seemed like every few days. I even checked one last time, the day I was leaving home, and yes, one more drop of about 10 bucks. Do check often. Good wishes, Sandy.

When I do the application for EC, do I cancel the existing reservation first, do the membership thingy, and then rebook? I don't know why this makes me crazy, but it does!!

I would suggest doing the application for EC first, then rebook. If you are happy with that price reserve that car and after you have your new confirmation number then cancel the old one. That way if when you go to rebook if the price is higher you can still choose to keep your original reservation.
