Question about Dollar or Alamo 2 wk + 1 day rental?

We have a car rental with both Dollar and Alamo car rental for 2 weeks plus 1 extra day. Does anyone out there know if there will be a penalty if we return the car 1 day early?
The reason I ask is ,with the air fare being so high, I have discovered that if I leave Florida on Friday August 26th instead of Saturday August 27th, I will save $60 per person in airfare. So we are thinking possibly of cutting the vacation short by one day.

I've twice returned to Alamo the night before instead of 1st thing in am and never had a price change. I would try calling and see if the price would change if you change your res. If it does, I'd take a chance on just returning it 1 day early & tell the agent you had a late change of plans. I can't imagine they'd charge you more.

For some reason when you try to make changes online, it prices it with current pricing instead of keeping your original weekly rate.

I think they only recalc the rate if you return more than 24 hours in advance of what your reservation shows.
