question about disneyland?

if you request to stay at the disneyland hotel in disneyland in ca. using points, were do you usualy end up?..is there a separate part for dvc guests or do you mix in with other guests...if you have to request where to stay in the hotel where is best to ask for as a preference

You will get a standard hotel room -- there are no DVC-style rooms in any of the Disneyland hotels.

At the Disneyland Hotel, most people try to ask for a room in the Sierra Tower as this is the tower closest to the parks and it has the best chance at getting a theme park view. The other side of this tower provides a nice view of the courtyard and the Peter Pan pool.
