Hi All,

I haven't been on the Boards in a *long* time (life got really busy!) and it's nice to be back! Anyway, I'm getting back into pin trading and I have an original Disney Pin Trading vest (from around 2001).

So my question is: does anyone use them anymore? Do they have any value or anything? I never used the one I got so it's still brand new. I'm not really sure what I should with it.

Thanks for any insight or suggestions!!

I use mine all the time. They still sell pin vests, but not with the pin trading logo.

Thanks for the info! I apologize for the response delay, but I wasn't notified of a response (I obviously did something wrong - silly me!) Anyway, do you ever get any comments on it?

I can remember that we had one other one that I used to wear and it was great fun at the time. It's seems easier for folks to look at your traders/collection that way. I always enjoyed seeing other folks' vests because they were usually just full so there was always a lot of cool to take in!

I also remember that they could get warm to wear in warm weather and my old one would get heavy when I loaded it up. I suppose the justification there is, "Hey, it's good exercise carrying that weight around!"

I did see the ones for sale at the WDW DTD Pin Trading hut, but as yet I haven't seen anyone actually wearing one for display or trading. I was also at the last Pin Meet at the Contemporary (in March) and I don't recall seeing anyone wearing one. BUT- I hadn't been to a meet in a Loooong time and was kind of star struck by it all so it probably doesn't count! :confused3

I get some comments but not many. I was there at the Contemporary meeting in March. I do get a lot of remarks about the size of the pins I wear since you can display the jumbo pins on the vest that you can't do on the lanyard. I make it a rule to only wear pins that have at least two pin backs. That way if one pin back falls off, the pin still stays on the vest.
