Question about Dining w/Infant

Hi,

I know someone who will be taking an infant to WDW-- do people bring jars of baby food? Or can you buy that at WDW? Do they just eat off your plate? This would be a 7 month old. I don't have kids so I have no clue

You can bring baby food. The mods and values have microwaves in the food courts where you can warm things up. Not sure if the deluxe's have microwaves available. I saw someone at Sci Fi give a jar of baby food to a server to warm up. I am not sure if this is commonplace or not. Children under 3 can eat off the buffet for free. If its a non buffet, they can eat off their parents' plate for free. So this 7 month old can eat off of mom and dad's plates no problem!

I am pretty sure the resorts sell some baby food, but I am not certain. And I am betting its a limited selection of they do.

Your friends can order groceries off of Gardengrocer.com to be delivered to their resort. They have a huge selection of items and that way they can get exactly what their baby eats without having to lug all those jars with them!

We ordered organic baby food thru Garden Grocer but I never bothered heating it up since he was eating mostly single fruits and veggies that taste fine cold.

Last year we did take jars with us. I read somewhere that the sit-down restaurants could puree veggies for you, but I'm not sure... May be worth a phone call to ask.

We just brought some of DS's jarred food and also made a trip to the Winn Dixie just a bit from Crossroads for more when it was needed. They do sell some in the baby centers in the parks, stage 2 and up. The infant can certainly eat off an adult plate if they are on table food, as said above. Buffets are the best, as there is quite a bit of selection that can be appriopriate for infants, at there is no charge!
