Question about dining plan credits

If myself and wife want to eat somewhere with our table service credits alone, that will leave our 3 kids with table service credits that were not used that day. Could you use the 3 table service credits for the kids on another day somewhere else while myself and wife just pay out of pocket. Is that allowed? I would hate to lose out on three table service credits by the kids not using them.

Why arent your kids using their credits that day? How old are they? Where will they be?

The kids will be off with my wifes parents, that is our day to do a few things on our own. So we will be eating lunch that day alone without them.

If they are still going to be in disney they can use their credits without you. either way you can use your credits whenever you want. You could use them all on the first day if you wanted to. You just have to use them by midnight after you check out.

Don't want to take over your post. But...We are going toTrex or RFC on our first night. Dh will get a meal and I plan on nachos Anyway. He will use a TS credit. Then when we go to Sci Fi. Will he be able to use a TS and I can order a sandwich and choose to not use the plan for my entree? This is not on our last day and we will have credits available. so my question is. Will we be able to get 2 dinners and use the plan for one and pay oop for the other. And can we choose which dinner to apply to the DDP. Obviously the most expensive! I hope this makes sense. IYKWIM!!!

Yes you can. Just tell the server who is using credits and whose not

It is not required that a party use all credits or all cash. Just make sure you tell the server when you order which meals will be paid for with credits and which will not.

For the credit-based question:

It's easier to think of the credits as a pool than set credits per day (night) of your trip. You will get access to your entire allotment of credits the moment you check in. You can use these in any combination and any order until either they are all used up, or you hit midnight after your check-out.

So, if you wanted to do 2 CS one day and 2 TS another day (or any combination of such), it's perfectly acceptable.

Leading into the splitting question, you can split the check up any way you wish and are always allowed to pay OOP for some meals and credits for others. It's generally helpful to let the server know ahead of time, as it does affect how they put it into the computers, but it's easy enough and they do get it quite often.

In fact, a similar method is generally recommended for those who have a few more ADRs than they have credits to cover, typically done by paying OOP for Kids' meals at a la carte restaurants and then paying OOP for adult meals at buffet breakfasts.
