We are doing a split stay 2 days Pop Century and 3 days Wilderness Lodge. We want to put all the park tickets on the Pop reservation, but would like the dining plan while at Wilderness Lodge. Will this work or do we have to have the tickets on the Wilderness Lodge reservation to get the dining plan? We will be going to 1 park while staying at Pop Century. I’m not sure what to do.

I wanted to know if I call to add the ticketless package with dining plan, can I also add it to my family members that are booked in a separate room?

The dining plan must be added to all occupants of a room. The same dining plan for all.

Whether you can add it to another room reservation might depend on who "owns" that reservation -- did you make the reservation for the others? Or someone else? I guess you can ask.

Well we are linked as family in my Disney experience. I was wanting to buy all of us the dining plan. Not sure they will let me since theirs is a separate reservation.

They would have to put their dining plan on their reservation. It links through the nights. With a split stay you need to make sure that you have the dining plan on both reservations

I'm sure WDW will take your credit card for the payment, but someone on the other reservation may need to call in.

Also as a note, if you already have "room-only" reservations those will need to be converted to package reservations to add dining. If you booked a while ago or with a special discount, that may or may not carry-over. Be sure to ask and don't let them change anything without running through all the figures with you.

I have another question. If we get a room only discount and then plan to add a dining plan later will we lose our room discount?

No. We added to our AP discounted room. But beware. Room only, you pay one night’s room cost to reserve, balance due when you check in. 8 days before checking still get your down payment back.

If you add dining to room only, you now have a ticketless package, and you will then have to pay remainder 30 days before your check in day. And you have to then cancel before 30 days to get your money paid back. But then you do get a free mini golf or wide world sports arena coupon to use while you are there.
