Question about Dining Plan and DDE...

We will have the Free Dining on our upcoming trip, but also have DDE. Can we use our dining points to the meal but then use DDE to apply discount to anything we purchase not covered by our points (like alcohol or specialty drinks/desserts) in the same meal?

I don't know why you could not. Just make sure to tell the server up front what you are planning and what goes on the bill to pay.
