I ordered the crocs prima not realizing they REALLY fit big. I'm sending them back but there is nowhere to say I want to EXCHANGE them so I just wrote a note on the slip .. hope it works.

Anyway, they'd included a return shipping slip that says postage not necessary, paid byt addressee.. however, on my receipt slip, it says to use a provided tear-off address slip to cut out and tape onto the package and that all retgurn shipping charges must be prepaid.. tehy don't accept COD deliveries. That I'm to use UPS or Insured Parcel Post.

Has anybody else sent a return or exchange to dick's and how did you do it??

Thanks!!!

I think if you use the return label that says "Postage Paid by Addressee" that Dicks will deduct a set amount from the credit back to you for the return. You are still paying for return shipping, but through them.

Hmm.. wonder if they will overcharge. If I purchase shipping but use that lable... will I get double charged?

If you use that pre-paid label, you should not purchase additional shipping to make the return.

My experience has been that these companies always charge more for return shipping than the actual price. I normally just take it to the post office myself and pay for the return.

Have you checked to see if you can make the return at the brick and mortar store? Sometimes that is possible, check the website for information.

I'm having this same problem with some Crocs I bought online from Dicks. I called them and they don't do exchanges, you have to return them (less a $6.50 return shipping charge) and then place a new order. It also states on the packing slip that you can't do returns at their b&m stores, I already tried to do an exchange at my local store and they wouldn't do it.

I'm going to buy the right size in my local store and then try to use that same receipt to return the pair I bought online. It's frustrating, they're one of the few stores that doesn't allow returns/exchanges at their b&m store, sure doesn't give much incentive to buy from them online.

I've had that same problem wtih Disneyshopping. You have to pay to return the item, but in some cases shipping is more or close to the same price as the item. It doesn't seem right. What's the incentive of buying on line? Now I know Disney is different b/c they're not owned by the same company at the Disney store. I doubt i'll be shopping on line at Disney or Dicks.

I'm a little confused :confused3 When I purchased my crocs a couple days ago, it stated FREE RETURN SHIPPING and I also received the postage paid label and the other label you are to tape on the box.

So you're all saying they charge you? Why would they post free RETURN shipping on their site then?

I'm confused too. Are the PP saying that if you do return something and use their prepaid shipping label that they will deduct a shipping fee from any refund they give you? That's a crock  .

A COD delivery is different than using a pre-paid return label.

I just read through the free return shipping details (go to a Crocs page and click on the link, read the pop-up), and I *bet* that the general wording that you're seeing (no COD, pay the return) is just what they send to everyone, but since you bought the Primas, I assume, at a time when the "free shipping and free return shipping" offer was there, that is why you also have the prepaid label in there.

...."add a qualifying product to your shopping cart and a Free Return Shipping label will automatically be shipped with your order. This offer applies only to the qualifying items; other items in your order that are not eligible will still incur a return shipping charge."

The rest of that info is pretty clear (I'd post a link but it's a popup and I don't know how to), and they differentiate between returning a qualified product vs another item that you'd pay a return shipping charge on...seems that that wording is good.

That's my opinion, at least.

Just found their regular return policy, and it is pretty clear about the 6.50 charge if you use their label.

So I'd say there's a big difference between the Crocs "free shipping and free return shipping" return, and the normal return policy.

I order a pair of crocs for my son that were too little and I called and asked to exchange for the next size and was told no exchanges. He then processed the cr and advised that I could keep them or return them but regardless he would be sending me a return label. It took two weeks to send the label. I havent sent them back and they havent sent me a email or anything :confused3 they probably will recharge my card.

This is from the Dicks website...

"For convenient return processing on most orders, your packing slip will include a pre-paid, pre-addressed label for your return package...No postage is required. The fixed shipping rate of $6.50 will be deducted from your refund. You will not be charged postage until the return is processed."

I ordered the crocs maryjanes (run very small & narrower imo).

Despite the return label/invoice which states that the stores do not accept online returns, I decided to ask @ my local store.

They didn't have the right size either and had to order it from another store. The manager told me that as long as they have the exact product in the store inventory, they will happily exchange or refund.

He further stated the online store isn't even run by Dicks; and the reason for the warning as to exhanges is because they don't carry alot of the items featured online.

Just got the call that my shoes are in, will report back if i have any issues with return when i complete this weekend.:thumbsup2

They've got conflicting information on their website then because what I quoted was copied and pasted directly from their website.:confused3

Did you copy it from the Returns Policy area or from the page that the Crocs are on? According to their site it has to say Free Returns and Free Shipping when you order your item (s) and all items have to have the FR & FS or else there will be a charge.

I don't know, but what I do know is my 2 pair are going back and I am not paying any return shipping according to what this statement says and to what my invoice says. It just says attach the bottom portion inside the box, slap the postage paid label on the outside of the box and mail. I see no reasons as to why I should get charged---it's advertised Free Returns. Old Navy has the same policy.
