Ok, I read the sticky above about the DDP and I am still confused. Are you allowed to mix and match your credits? For example the DP plan allows 1 TS, 1CS and 1 snack pp per day. So if I am staying seven nights, which I am, then I would have 7 of each, correct? So do I have to use one of each per day? Can I use 2 TS or 2 CS per day? Or use 2 snacks per day? Am I making any sense?

I am trying to figure out where I want to eat when we go in August and so far I want to eat at more TS places than CS places. I don't mind paying for a few things OOP if we have to, but I am just trying to figure out how I can use my credits before I get my heart set on something.

In what combination can I use my credits??

Thanks!:)

You can use any number of any type of credit any day. They are good from the minute you check in until midnight on the day you check out.

We had a bunch of unused snack credits, so we went to the boardwalk bakery and got some take home goodies for the car ride home.

Another thought--Pepper Market at Coronado Springs is a CS meal....although some of the food is a lot more like a sit down. They have the best hamburgers at WDW, and a wonderful salmon and rice plate that is PLENTY for two meals. Seriously, two of us would have a ticket that said $46....and it was 2 CS credits.

kcashner........did you have to pay 10% summer surcharge that people keep talking about?

Thanks for the info! There were a couple of places i thought I was going to have to leave off my list, but I can add them.

Thanks again.

You may be mixing two different things, both of which only apply to guests not on a dining plan.

1. A 10% service charge is added to bills at the Pepper Market. Though you go to a station, order your food and bring it to your table you are provided with a server, thus the service charge. If you pay with DP credits it is already included in the DP fee.

2. During various Holiday periods and other peak times Disney does charge higher prices for character meals, buffets and all you care to eat meals. There is a span of dates from the end of May to early July where this surcharge ie. higher prices are in effect. Again the DP cost is the same, no matter which time of year you visit the parks.

Septbaby (btw I have 2 septbabies...lol)....thank you I definately did mix them up I knew there was some kind of 10% charge people were talking about. Now that I think of it 10% is not all that bad, but if it is included in the plan all the better!!! Thanks alot for the info!!!

Yes, you can use them how you wish. Some TS or character meals are two credits each. What we do is pick which TS that are two credits that we want to eat at and pay out of pocket for a character meal buffet where you know exactly how much it will cost us. We use the snack credits to get milk for DS and snacks for the hotel room. You really have to plan your TS credits wisely and can be more flexible with the others. We even have shared a CS meal and had left over credits to use on the last day. There really is a lot of food involved:)
