We are summer going people. And now are planning a next year Christmas trip. Are ticket prices more for holidays? And how much more? Just a basic ticket price.
Ticket prices do not have a holiday surcharge. So the prices do not go up just because it's Christmas time. Now, it's likely that there will be a ticket price increase between now and next Christmas (ticket prices seem to go up every year), so you might want to look into buying tickets before the price increase happens.
The daily ticket does not change price based on time of year, but if you want to attend the Christmas party, that is a separate ticket, which does cost extra.
Ticket prices don't change depending on the season, but I think Disney SHOULD have dynamic park pricing, at least for walk-up tickets purchased at the gate. About 20% higher during the busy Christmas week, 15% higher during Spring Break times and throughout the summer, and 10% higher during selected other times.
It would be an easy revenue booster. I'm sure they considered it, but decided against it. They know their IT department is half-azzed anyway, and no doubt the first day dynamic pricing went into effect, it would wipe out everyone's FPs and ADRs.
About four months ago, I said that I would not consider a trip at Christmas because it was more expensive. Well, that is what I had been reading.... However, I quickly realized that we could get free Disney Dining if our first day of arrival was on or before December 23rd. For a family of four, this seemed to be a great deal. So, we are going to Disney at Christmas!!
