Does DCL offer any kind of pee pad or cover for the kids beds or do most people take their own?

I believe they do. I would talk to you room host as soon as you see him/her the first day and ask about it. I know this is a fairly common thing for them with the amount of kids in general cruising on DCL.

You can also call DCL and ask them directly as well.

We just got off the Dream - unfortunately my son wet the bed numerous times while we were on ship. The bedpads on the beds have a vinyl backing so nothing went thru to the mattress (thank goodness!!).

Honestly, I just bring a few of the disposable incontinence pads just in case. We haven't had an accident, but I wouldn't want our host to have to deal with my kid's pee.

Mine who usually don't anymore...did 2x last month! I chalk it up to late nights, soda (which they rarely ever have) and my lack of vigilance about late night drinking. When they did...I did pull all the affected linens and made a pile in the middle of the bed, so they knew I needed new linens. I did tell the stateroom hostess after the first incident. She was not shocked...Im guessing it happens regularly.

We usually bring pull ups or underjams on vacation with us. We find that with more activities and late nights, there is a chance of an accident! Another idea rather than having wet sheets and beds!

I don't know if its on all the beds or if they just automatically put it on our 2 year old's bed, but there was already a waterproof mattress pad. She did have an accident...we pulled the sheets off, made a pile, and let the stateroom attendant know. He was great and acted like it was no big deal.

They all have them at least on the sofa bed and the top bunk. No need to ask. I'm a grown adult and there was a waterproof cover for the sofa bed. The stateroom attendant was adding a duvet to it to try and make it more comfortable for me to sleep on. Still woke up in the middle of the night to grab the one off the bed (my mom wasn't using it) and remade the bed with 2 duvets to try and get some sleep.

I found it easier to just pack "special undies" (underjams or something similar) so none of us have to stress out over it :-)

my grandsons bed had a waterproof pad on it without asking. He did have an accident. We bundled the sheets and let the stateroom host know why we had piled things together. He smiled and life went on.

Good to know, one less thing to pack! I also did hear that it is good to ask your attendant the first day for a spare set of linens incase it happens during the night and you want to fix the bed then. :)

We are big fans of the "special undies" that have the pad insert (disposable). They look like regular undies...
