Question about charging to room key

Planning our first trip. I like the idea of charging everything to the room key, but we have some Disney Dollars already saved up. Can I charge to the room with the credit card on file and then pay off part of the balance with the Disney Dollars before the amount is charged to the credit card?

I'm pretty sure you can just give the disney dollars to the CM at your resort. They will just apply it against your bill.

You can apply the Disney Dollars to your room when you check in. However, depending on how many you have, you might want to consider hanging on to them. The last time I was there, some of the small fruit and drink stands didn't take the room keys. I always like to take a small amount of cash or DD into the parks with me.
