Question about central Fl schools

Do they remap school districts a a lot (or at all) in Florida? My DH can relocate to central Fl with his job and we are looking at a place to live that has good schools. I don't want to buy in an area with a good high school, only to have to go to a not so good school. I am looking at the school rankings now and it seems like there is a wide variance of schools within the same county. If you have any personal experiences with the best place to live, I'd love to hear your opinion!

We just moved to Florida from Pennsylvania in December. Because of this, I have no idea if they redistrict or not. However, we have been extremely happy with the schools to this point. If you would like more information, please feel free to PM me and I will be happy to share.

Moving to Florida is probably one of the best decisions we have made in quite awhile. Good luck!!

Just go to the Orange County schools web site if you want to live in Orange county.
The schools here are district wide meaning that if you were to relocate within the same county it is all tied together. (makes it easy as you never have to worry about transferring paperwork. They can do it all by computer)

Winter Garden has good schools. Lake Whitney Elementary is wonderful
Bridgewater Middle is 3 years old and excellent as is West Orange High school with a fairly new (2 yr old) buildings.

Hunters Creek has great schools Hunters Creek Elem, Hunters Creek Middle and Cyprus Creek and Freedom High School all very good.

Dr Phillips has great schools. Chain of Lakes Middle school is great. The 2 high schools are Olympia and Dr. Phillips. both good schools.

It really depends on just where you work as traffic can be a nightmare. Especially on I 4.

My children went all through their school years in orange county schools and we had good luck with each school they went to.

Some people prefer Seminole county schools which is just north of Orange county. This would be if you were to live in Sanford, Lake Mary etc.
