I am hoping that my son and his wife and my grand-daughter can go to WDW with me, but they can only go in the summer due to job assignments.
So instead of going in December 2009 we most likely will now go in June '09.
I should know tomorrow if June is a go, and I want to be prepared when I call MS.
I want to stay a week in a 1 bedroom SV, this will take about 245 points since the stay will be mostly in the Dream Season, and some in the Magic Season.
I will have 160 points coming this December so I will need to borrow 85 from the next year. When I call do I let them know right away that I will need to borrow? Or will they know this once I go over my point allotment?

Yes, MS will tell you what points they are utilizing for the reservation
( ie 2008 December UY points & amount borrowed in from December 2009 UY ).

MS only borrows from an upcoming UY when banked & current UY points are not enough to cover reservation.

Thank you for your reply. I did not expect to book so soon using borrowed points. So I had not researched that aspect of booking yet.

As you are making your reservation you will discuss your point requirements and availability. The MS Advisor should not just borrow points without discussing it with you first. At the end of the call you should get a recap of your point balance before you hang up.
