Does anyone know where I can get a peek at the Boma menu? Also, I know you can order cakes to be delivered to almost any restaurant, but is the delivery cost really big for Boma? I have read that it is.

Also, I am trying to decide between the 50's Prime Time Cafe and Mama Melrose for our dinner one night. Any thoughts on which is better? We have a DD who will be almost 5 when we go. I had thought to get the ADR for MM so we can hook up the Fantasmic special seating with it, but is it worth it?

Thanks for your help.

Suz

Here's a link to the WDW menu's:

We've never eaten at Prime Time but last week we ate at Mama Melrose and would eat there again. We didn't love it but thought it was good.

Mama Melrose, blech. We were looking forward to this place because we tried for so long to get in....finally snagged an ADR for last Dec and the food was served room temp, it was very bland and they did not bring us bread and we asked twice. The tables all around us had it but not us. Would take 50's over MM any day.

We've eaten in both. We like Mama Melrose better, and have never had bad food or service there. On the other hand, a five-year-old will certainly enjoy 50s Prime Time more than Mama Melrose.

The DIS never fails to come through. I think I have my answer. Prime Time it is! I have an ADR for it, but thought MM might be better. I think I will stick with Prime TIme and enjoy the show they put on there!!

Thanks guys, Suz

You will love either restaurant. Since you are chosing 50's Prime Time, I hope you get a great server. The last time we were there we were NOT happy. "My cousin Heather" is still there and she is amazing. I hope you get her.

You will enjoy 50's Prime Time :thumbsup2 It is a must do on our trips. Everything has been great each time, but I must say Momma Sue was our favorite server :)

Keep in mind, the Boma menu changes a little. they have two menus that they alternate nightly (I think) though I think one tends to be like Tues/Thur/Sat and the other Sun/Mon/Wed /Fri - I think. Something like that.

They always offer zebra domes, and I think most of the desserts are fairly standard, or maybe seasonal. Also the same is the fresh fruit, the kid-style offerings (chicken strips, pasta, meatballs, mac n cheese), prime rib, chicken. The soups, salads, bread choices, fish choice, sides (fu fu always, peanut rice, bok choy - alternate), varieties of hummos also vary nightly - I think.

You'll be happy that you're sticking with the 50's Prime Time Dinner. It was a fun and unique experience. And I'm sure your child will love it. Make sure to try their Milk Shakes (they're included as part of the DDP). DH got a Pb&J milkshake which he loved and I was please with my chocolate one. Have fun...and make sure you eat all your veggies. DH hid his collard greens under his chicken bones (which I didn't even notice and I was sitting right in front of him) and our waitress walked by going to another table, hardly looking at us and screams out "Luke, you didn't think I was notice that you're hiding your greens under those chicken bones" which made us and a couple tables laugh out. They ask for everyone's name at the table and are good at remembering it.
