How many of you have done that, probably none. Most have children with them when they visit Disney, and I seriously doubt anyone is leaving thier kids waiting outside while they have a quickie on the Disney bedspreads.
I just personally think the concern is over stated, and that if it bothers you, simply remove it when you arrive and ask for a clean blanket and problem solved. Or take the blanket off the bed and wash it and you know it's clean.
I can't imagine anyone sleeps under the comforters/bedspreads anyway.

I have heard people say that they put the remote in a ziploc bag so they dont have to touch it.
Bedspreads/comforters are washed/cleaned monthly unless needed before then.
Blankets I believe are changed after each guest but not sure.
You can certainly request once you get there they bring you a clean one.
But I always wonder on these threads, why it matters as long as it is not obviously soiled.
The sheets are clean and they are the only part touching you and I don't see any difference in blankets and bedspreads than couches, air plane seats, seats in restaurants etc.
Just because you don't see that it is soiled does not mean that it isn't soiled. I think that it is very gross to use a bedspread that someone else had used, someone that I do not know, they may not take baths!!! Gross if you think about it.
I agree 100%!!! I am definately calling mousekeeping and asking for new blankets and spreads!!!
Just have mousekeeping bring you a fresh blanket AND a fresh bedspread. No need to explain to them either. Problem solved.
I have seen all the shows about hotel rooms, I have also seen the ones about shopping carts and germs that truly can make you sick and not just gross you out. And believe me the ones that can truly make you sick are not on bedspreads.
Splash Mt. is probably more dangerous to your health than any hotel bedspread. And yes I am sure that some people do engage in activities on the bedspreads, however I really think that at Disney that is not the norm.

This kind of thing is why there are more and more allergies and people getting sicker, because their bodies have never been exposed to minor germs and the like so doesn't know what to do with the stronger stuff.
You all are paranoid! Exposure to minor germs is a GOOD thing. It creates a stronger immune system. Soaking everything in Lysol (which only kills the minor bugs anyway), overuse of antibacterial soap, the over perscriping of anitbiotics, and so on is why there are now super bugs immune to those things.
Germs are a part of life, get used to it. Exposure to germs will make you and your kids healthier as the immune system will be stronger. There are probably more germs on the toilet seats in the parks and on the ride vehicles, not to mention all the people in the crowds, than there is in your hotel room.

Yeah, let's all roll around in an E-Coli and reproductive fluids flavored bedspread, that'll make us healthy as a horse.

If you see a puddle of puke on a bench, do you sit on it to boost your immune system ??
I am about as anti antibacterial soap/meds etc as they come but the thought of laying myself or my children down on something that Big-Sweaty-Charlies-just-back-from-the-parks-sweaty-bare-behind touched is a totally different story.
I didn't say anything about the blankets. I was talking about soaking everything in Lysol, never touching the remote, etc.
But how will you know if they've been cleaned ? They could just as well bring you blankets & spreads they took off another room that day and haven't gotten washed yet.

That's a bit of hyperbole, now isn't it?
Here's a report from the Center for Disease Control about the overuse of antiseptics and antibiotics.

You can be too clean.
