Question about beds at Pop

I have a question that I am just dying to know. My DH and I stayed at Pop for one night only when we first got to Disney a couple of weeks ago. We had an accessible room with a king bed on the first floor in the sixties building. This was our first stay at a value resort, and it was really just to try it out...it was so cute!! I really liked the landscaping, and the rooms were cute, and the main building was cute too.

Here's my question. The bed in our room was AWFUL. As soon as we laid down, the springs were poking us all over the bed. It was three in the morning, so we just wanted to go to sleep as we had had a long day, so we didn't call or anything, and we were only there the one night so...

But all of the beds are not like that, right? I am just curious!! I really liked the hotel and all...but I need a nice bed to sleep in on vacation!! Thanks so much all you Pop experts!! :goodvibes

We just stayed at Pop about three weeks ago and had no complaints. Our beds were great. :)

We've had the same experience with all of the king beds we've slept in at the values. We have found the double beds much more comfortable. I don't know if they replace them more often, or if king beds get more wear and tear or what. :confused3

thank goodness we weren't just crazy!! :lmao:

next time i guess we will just request NOT to have a king bed then. thanks for the replies, i was so curious!!

We have never had a problem with the king beds. Then again it has been a few years because of kids. Recently though, we haven't had any problems with the double matresses.

AS Music has replaced all their bedding with the pillow-top mattresses. I need an accessible room and can share that the king beds at Pop have all been like sleeping on concrete while the ones at ASMu feel quite luxurious. ASSports is now undergoing a renovation so perhaps they'll also have the nicer beds. Pop will probably eventually get them too- until they do I'm sticking with AS Music for a value resort. Gotta sleep.---Kathy

We had a king bed at Pop for one night in September and it was also hard as a brick!!! It was also a third floor room, so we only stayed for one night. Our main request is always 1st floor and they moved us after the 1st night. We had two doubles which were lots more comfortable (We each took one bed).
