Question about Be Our Guest breakfast

Does everyone have to order a meal at breakfast, or can you share? My future DIL is not big on breakfast, and would rather share a meal with my son and save a counter service credit to share lunch with him. Also, I am allergic to melons. Is there any accommodation since I saw that the fruit has melons? Thanks

Also, we are on the dining plan and wanted to preorder. But the preorder options include a standard beverage. What if one of us wants to order an alcoholic beverage? We are supposed to be able to on the dining plan, aren’t we? How do we do that. We can add it, but since we can’t eliminate the standard beverage, I don’t want to get charged for an extra beverage.just saw another post where someone asked about everybody having to order.
