I'm planning my family's first vacation to WDW in Sept. 2008 & I have a 5 s year old little girl who is dying to go to the BBB & I wanted to know if it was worth the money & if you need reservations. Also, is there a particular place she can meet some of the princesses, without doing the character dinning, we're on a very tight budget. Any help would be appreciated.

We did the cheapest BBB package and my DD's loved every minute of it. Was it worth the money?? Yes and no. It was worth the memories - the look on my DD3.5's face when she was spun around and presented to the mirror to see herself for the first time...priceless! However, we've taken several other trips to WDW without doing it and never felt we were missing out. Personal preference I suppose. If you're just looking for a fun hairdo, you can always check out Main Street Barber Shop - they put colored paint and confetti in the children's hair for a few bucks ($5 on our last trip, but I think it's up to $7.50 now??). That could be a budget alternative, although not exactly the same thing.

And yes, you can meet several princesses in Toontown - across from Goofy's Barnstormer, in the big tent like building (can't remember the exact name right now - sorry). And Ariel can be found in "Ariel's Grotto" behind the Dumbo ride in Fantasyland.

I agree with what the PP said about it being worth the money and not worth the money. We did it on our last trip and my dd loved it. However, when we go in September, I'm thinking of going to the Barber shop instead. Also, another great area to meet the princesses is at Epcot in each of the different countries. We met Aurora, Belle, Jasmine and Aladdin, Mulan and Snow White.

princess: just a heads up... the princess lines are VERY VERY long in toontown, so if u get to the tent and the line is decent GET IN THE LINE !!! Dont wait for it to get shoreter, it NEVER does:rotfl: , If u go during a parade or during the fireworks its shorter, toontown opens later than the whole park so find opening time and wait at the rope for toontown opening and go DIRECTLY for the princess lines.princess: Enjoy yor princess!!

We went in December when dd was 47 months. She loved it. We had reservations and would reccommended them. I thought it was worth the money. Emma loves to watch the video of her hair being done. she still plays with the clippies and fake hair. She picked the hairstyle but I would reccommend the same hairstyle related to the "extras" she took home and still plays with. It also took longer to do this hairstyle so she loved the extended attention. We did the least expensive package with hair, nail, and make-up. She wore her own costume and we went to toon town after for pictures. The style stayed in 3 days so we also did pictures at other locations. Hope this helps.

It was wonderful expereince each time my dd has done it. You can do the basic package and then do the photoshoot w/out even paying for the photos if you plan on getting the photopass cd which you can pre order for 99.99. The look on my dd's face when she did this type was better than the first time and she enjoys the attention she gets all day long.
