Tell me about BLT -
We are hoping to book for May 2013. We need a 1 bedroom villa.
Do they book quickly?? How was your stay there??

Since BLT is actually a DVC property the number of rooms that are available for Disney to rent out is small and varies based on owners and what they do. Rooms are sometimes not available until about 6 months out though it can vary. If you are reserving it through Disney, your best bet is to keep checking to see what is available.

We have never stayed at BLT but we LOVE CR and have toured BLT when we bought into DVC. For us it is great! Some people do not like the decor since it is not extreme Disney but we like it and we love the location to MK!!!

We stayed at BLT last year and LOVED it! We stayed in a 2 bedroom (myself, DW, DS x 3, FIL and MIL for total of 7 people). There was plenty of space and the room itself was fantastic. Of course the main reason my wife and I loved it was location, location, location! (the boys favorite part was the pool).

May 2013 is more than 7 months out so I would think you could rent points from someone here on the boards. This will be FAR cheaper than booking through Disney. The only disadvantage is lack of flexibility if you need to cancel. We rented points and stayed for literally half the price.

Hope this helps!

Paul

Here is a picture of our room. A one bedroom will look the same. I don't think I have a picture of the bedroom itself but I'll look.

I guess you can tell we had a great time at BLT. I should mention we cooked a lot. If you plan to eat out every meal then be aware you will have to walk.

I agree with Paul. We rented points for our upcoming stay at BLT. We were able to get a lake view stuido for the same price as staying at POR and it was only $600 more than a standard room at Pop.

There are many locations to rent points. I would just recommend doing research on whoever you choose and make sure you have a contract so you are protected. We chose to go through stayatwdw, but reviewed all that were available.

We bought into BLT and now I hate to stay anywhere else! It's walking distance to MK, monorail to Epcot and an easy bus ride to anywhere else.
The 1 BR rooms are great for 3-4 ppl. Lots of room. The decor is modern and everything is in great condition.
Can't recommend it enough!

Hope it is just the three of you because the BLT studio is very small. Most of the space is in the bathroom and the hallway. When the sleeper sofa is opened, there is almost no space between the sleeper and the window and between the sleeper and the bed. No bedside table between them because there isn't enough space.
