Question about banking and renting

I would appreciate some help please

We are in the middle of purchasing some VGC points direct from Disney. We have a June use year so our 2012 points have to be banked by the end of January.

We probably won't be able to use them this year so my question is can we rent out or transfer points to another member once they have been banked?

You can make a reservation with the banked points (6-1-13 date of stay or after) and rent it but you can't transfer banked points.

Your 2012 banked points will be good until May 2014. If you don't plan on using them by then at WDW, DL, RCI, Disney Collection, Concierge Collection, etc. you should be able to do what you suggest.

Since you are buying direct from Disney, MS will bank them for you even if it is after the January deadline. Just call or ask your sales guide to help you with this. If you bank the 2012 points, they become valid to pay for stays between 6/1/2013 through 5/31/2014.

If you do not bank the 2012 points, you can transfer them to another member. Although the transferred points retain their VGC resort and 2012 use year, the receiving member can bank them if he or she so chooses.

If you bank the points, you can make reservations and rent those. You cannot transfer points that have been banked.

VGC points & reservations seem to be in high demand. I do not think you will trouble either transferring or renting reservations.

Its onlty 75 points but I now need to look into how best to rent/transfer
