Question about Animal Kingdom Studio

Can someone tell me what is different about the studio and the value studio at Jambo. I know the value is smaller but does it still have a sleeper sofa? Need to know because there is 3 of us.

The Jambo House value studio will have a sleeper sofa, but not the sleeper chair.

The Jambo value has no closet and no storage bench - remember that the wardrobe holds the vacuum and linens - so there's very little space for luggage or clothes other than four small drawers under the TV (the bottom of the dressers holds the packNplay). When the sleeper sofa is unfolded, there is very, very little floor-space since the coffee table benches have to be moved.

Just returned from AKV and stayed in a value studio, room 5016, pool view.
Queen bed, sofa bed and a pack and play stored in the bottom compartment in the dresser. Storage is limited. I thought I had read that value studios only had the armoire for storage. Our studio had a closet by the door with the vacuum. 3 adults would be fine. 2 adults and 1 child would be fine. 4 adults would be cozy, OK for a few days, wouldn't do it for more than 5 days. Loved the balcony, ate our after dinner snack out there listening to the late night swimmers.

Not quite true. There are some that have a parking lot view, some a pool view and some a savanna view.

I've done one adult two kids in a value and two adults two kids in a value - it's tight, but it is doable if you are organized and store things creatively. I have not stayed in a value with my husband because he is way too messy and brings too much stuff on vacation - there's no way I could survive with sanity intact.

We do a value studio during Easter week when the point costs are astronomical. I much prefer the savanna-view though.

The only way to avoid a parking lot view would be to reserve a standard view at Jambo House (all are pool view) or a Savanna View in either building.

Not entirely true. If you reserve "dedicated" value studio, you will have savanna or pool view(and also the full size closet near the front door). There are 10 total value studios at AKV Jambo. 4 are pool view, 4 are savanna view and 2 are parking lot view.

It's my understanding that you can no longer reserve a dedicated studio.

Have stayed in a value studio twice. Once with savanna view & once with parking lot view.

Space was fine for 3 people. As already said by previous posters the storage space is lacking.

As an fyi the sofa bed is first as you enter the unit with the bed against the windows.

Yup - it's a request just like getting one of a savanna-view values is a request. You've got as much chance of having it honored as any request.

True - But at least you know ahead of time whether you got it or not. I have 2 reserved for early Aug and although I was not able book them when making reservation, it does show up as a "dedicated studio" on the reservation confirmation I received in the mail.

Do they still say 'dedicated studio' if you view your upcoming reservations on the member website?
