Question about an alarm clock...

They've been removing the clocks from the rooms for the last year or so. When they replaced the propeller clock with the digital ones, they picked one that's really difficult to understand how to operate. The display can be dimmed (or even turned off) but, there's really no instructions on how to do it.

Wow, I guess we've been lucky! We had two cabins on the Wonder in February (actually some family members were in a third but I don't know if they had a clock) and two cabins on the Fantasy in September and again earlier this month. All six cabins had digital clocks.

Completely agree about the lack of directions. A couple years back, the clocks were easy for me to dim all the way at night but the latest models not so much. :headache:

Forget the clocks! They need instructions on the shower and the lights!

We know now, but our first cruise my sister had to show us how to work the shower. Then I had to go find her when we were ready for bed because we could not figure out how to turn it off rather than night light mode. Haha!

Yep! If digital clocks did not work on the ships and displayed the wrong times then why would disney supply them?

really? Turn one side to direct the water for the shower or bath tub and the other side is the temperature?

No, it was making it turn into a shower. My dad is the one who had trouble with that - it's different from other things we've seen (round tub - not sure if it's different in the regular shaped tubs).

Ah! The lever for water up top, hand shower head or in the tub and the water temperature!

Regarding the digital clocks on DCL, I believe they do have an alarm but I have never used it as I use the one on my phone. As for dimming the display, you press the power button on top of the clock. I think it's "press and hold" and it gradually dims while held. If not then it's press and release repeatedly. I only did that on a few cruises. Usually I just turn the clock slightly to get the bright display out of my face.

Thanks for all the replies. :flower1: I don't have a smart phone. I have a old little phone. I don't use it much just for emergencies. I don't even really know how to text. My nephew showed me so I have the basic idea. So no alarm from a smart phone. I will take what everyone said into consideration and make my decision soon. Thanks so much again. :thanks:
