Question about ADR's

Forgive my ignorance but we have never done the dining plan before. When you call to make your Adr's do you have to pay for the character meals, etc. at the time you make the reservation?



I can't wait for the actual vacation because the planning is stressing me out!

No you don't pay at time ADR's are made. However, there are a few dinning options that require you secure it with a credit card (Cindy's castle, and I know Fantasmic dinner pkg) there may be more. This means they take a cc to secure it and if you don't cancel within 24-48hrs they will charge your cc.

No, most character meals do not require you to pay in advance. However, CRT will ask for a credit card to hold your reservation if you are staying on property. If you are not staying on property, they will charge your credit card in full for the meals. If you cancel before 24 hours, they will ccredit your charge back.

Be warned - some people ARE being charged up front for their CRT reservations; while it's generally thought this is a mistake, according to allearsnet.com that IS Disney's policy.

In April we were charged at the time of making our ADR at CRT. I believe this is now the policy. Also the Dinner shows charge in full at the time of booking.

We were also charged for dinner at CRT when we made the reservations...I almost missed it, but look at it as one more thing paid off before we go in Sept.
