My teen daughter has moderate to bad acne. After years of trying, including Acutane twice, we have found a routine that works pretty well for her.

She is now taking Yazz birth control pills and using Acne Free. Between them they control her breakouts for the most part.

The #2 step of the Acne Free runs out long before the other two steps do. We have several unopened bottles of step 1 and three. They don't sell these individually.

Does anyone else have this problem or know of a toner that would work in with the other two steps that can be purchased by itself?

Thanks,

Penny

I always run out of cleanser first. I extend the toner by just putting a little in my hand and rubbing it on instead of using the cotton pad which absorbs most of it and takes a lot more.

I'll tell her to try putting it on by hand instead of with a cotton pad. She has always run out of toner first.

Meanwhile, I would still love to find something she could use to "even out" all these extra # 1's and # 3"s we have.

Thanks,

Penny

Call the company direct (find the number on the insert brochure) and you can order individual bottles from them. They sell the individual cleanser (step 1) in Walmart, Walgreens, Kmart, etc. but not Step 2 or 3. This has worked beautifully for my one son, but you must be consistent and use it everyday. My other son isn't consistent and you can tell.

Does it have a list of ingredients on it you could compare to other brands. When I am buying some generic products I'll check ingredient lists to see if they are the same thing.

I agree to call the company directly-Fast shipping and if you order several bottles at a time, the S&H is reasonable then.

We also found kits at Sam's Club last time we were there and the bottles were like double size of the kits sold in stores for about $25.00. We bought 2 and will fill in with the ones he needs directly from the company.

I have had the exact same problem. I have adult onset acne and Acne Free keeps me clear, but I have to use it everyday!

I read the bottle for the active ingredient, which was witch hazel. So I have been using a low cost bottle of witch hazel I got at CVS (on sale of course!) It has worked fine and I have been using it for several months now with no breakouts. I also watch CVS for sales on the actual Acne Free products and have gotten many of them for cheap. :woohoo:

I hope it works for you too!

Thanks everyone for all the good sugestions. :flower3:
