Question about 7 year old boys...

I have a ds, but he's only 2.5, so I'm not sure on this. Would a 7 year old boy like a pillow pet?

Probably. Obviously it would depend on the kid but most at that age would.

My DS is 7, and he has two of them. The first one is what he wanted for his "reward" for riding EE in November. He wanted the second one to keep the first one company. They are a giraffe and a penguin.

My son just turned 8 and he asked for one for Christmas. He's been using it, too.

That said, he said he wanted it for Christmas and not his birthday, because he didn't want to open it in front of his friends.

My DD's friend (7) got the brown dog for Christmas and he was excited to show her when we came over last week. He's already trying to talk his parents into getting the bulldog that's rumored for later this year so his dog can have a friend.

Thanks for the replies - my dear friend's son is in a body cast, and I wanted to do something to cheer him up. I was thinking a pillow pet might be good since he'll be in bed for a while.

My ds is 7 and while standing in line to go to class this morning that is all the kids were talking about was which pillow pet they got. Both boys and girls.. I would say definately yes!!

Yes. I got pillow pets for my DS-4 and my DD-16 (she still loves stuffed animals) and my DS-12 was dissapointed he didn't get one! I thought he would think it "uncool" but I was wrong!

My DS9 asked for 1 for Christmas - but he only wanted the elephant or the T-Rex or the chocolate moose. I was able to order the T-Rex, but I think he would have preferred the elephant. (However, I never found it in stock anywhere online.)

That said, I think a pillow pet would be a perfect "get well soon" gift for a 7 year old boy! Maybe the puppy or the monkey...

Mine LOVES his!

He got it for his 7th birthday and has used it just about every single night since then, with the exception of a couple days travelling. He'll be 8 in a few weeks and I think I'm going to buy him another because his poor Panda is looking pretty worn.

I think it is a great gift! My DS11 hasn't asked for one, but he would love it if he got one! He is a stuffed animal kid...especially dogs. I thought by now, he'd outgrow them, but he still sleeps with his "Penny dog" that he got when he was 1, and it still comes in the car with us on long car trips... (However, he would NEVER admit that in front of his friends!)

My almost 6 year old just used his gift card to get one. He got the dog and loves it! I would think a 7 year old would also.
