Question about 2 dining plans

Hi! I have a question about purchasing 2 separate dining plans, I hope I can explain it correctly.
For our trip next year I’m planning to stay 1 night in a 2 bedroom prior to our 8 night package stay. FoR the 8 night package I’m going to get the dining plan and 9 day hoppers.
Now my confusion. How do I keep them separate? I’m pretty sure I read my dining credits would be good till midnight of my check out date, and all those credits/snacks must be used before the second dining plan can be used.
Does the system know to use the 1st dining plan credits first?
Even though on the first day of my 8 night stay I would be using the 1 day plan credits but the tickets from the 8 night stay?
Does this make sense?

I’m also considering doing a 2 credit meal that 1st night- could I use my tickets a day early? ( the tickets would be connected to my 8 night)

I’m getting confused and wondering if it’s going to be a huge hassle. Has anyone done this? Help please! Lol

Depending on the time you get in for the 1st day I would consider OOP for the first night unless you think you can use all the credits before Midnight the next night. I have heard there is a way to use your tickets early if you go to the Customer Service to activate the tickets.

So you want to have a dining plan with BOTH reservations, correct? The first one would be a one night, ticketless package with dining plan and the second one is an 8 night package with tickets and dining.

If you do that, then the first package will only have 1 TS, 1 QS, and 2 Snacks unless you get the DxDDP which would give you 3 TS credits and 2 snacks. Either way they would be good from the time you check in until midnight of the next day (your "moving" day). You will need to use ALL the credits from that first night before the credits from the second stay would be available. YES, the system knows which credits go with which reservation. IF you only get the regular plan and you're wanting to do the 2TS restaurant on your first night, you won't have the credits to do that since you only have ONE TS credit. You would have to get the DxDDP to do a 2TS restaurant that first night. IF by first night, you mean the night of your "moving" day, then you would have to be sure you've used the 1TS, 1QS and 2 snacks from the first night in order to access the credits from your second stay.

And, yes, tickets can be activated early, so you can do that when you check in to the first reservation.

Thank you. I was debating on getting the deluxe for that 1 night, and doing a 2 credit dinner then lunch the next day. But looking at the price, I think if I go through with this, I will just get the regular plan and do a 1 credit dinner followed by a quick service lunch the next day
