Queer Eye for the Straight Guy Fan Thread

YES! I don't watch TV much and just happened upon this show a few weeks ago when they were doing a marathon. My BF and I love it! Some of the things Carson gets away with saying crack me up - I can't believe they don't edit it out.

A few things I read on the net: The first two shows, Jai (the culture guy) was not on. They had a "guest" for culture. He is now sueing the show. I also read that the policeman they did over - in the show both Carson and Thom are seen wearing his policeman's jacket. The cop got in alot of hot water over that.

I love these guys. I would just love to go out with them for dinner or something. They would be the most fun time. Count me in as a big fan.

This is a great show. The guys are so good at giving real advice that can be put to use. I love how they really support the makeover man and show him tips that can make a huge difference. Thom is amazing in his home makeovers and I love Kyan - he really seems geniune. I loved Jai teaching the one makeover man how to dance. I felt bad for Ted when no one seemed to like his pate. And who doesn't want to go out shopping with Carson? What a fun group of guys!

We love this show as do a number of my coworkers. We are now "zhoozhing" all the time.

Oh, but the froi gras mousse for a party? Blech! I'd prefer something that more people would like instead of bragging to them that it was $50 a can. Pate? Yes! Froi Gras? NO!

They didn't do pate, just froi gras. The froi gras was in the episode that was on last week with the guy who lived in the toy house who had the unibrow. My reference was to me liking pate and that would be OK to serve at a party. I dislike froi gras very much. They are similar but different.

I love that show! Carson is my favorite, as well.

I can now no longer write a grocery list without adding "Lisa will you move in with me?" before bread!

THIS SHOW ROCKS!!!!!

I love it! Carson is such a hoot.

I love to tease my DH that he needs a "manscaping"!!! LOL!!

Both my DH and mom didn't think they'd be interested and now they are both HOOKED! This is my only "must see tv" and I do whatever it takes not to miss it. Can't wait! It's on tonight!

I was not as impressed as with other shows. It had its moments, but didn't have the same "zing" as previous episodes. I did like some of the decorating ideas. And I did like the remark about Jersey Girls having great décolletage! We do!

I agree, this week's episode did not have the same 'zing' as others, but I think that was because of the guy they made over. He just seemed so self concious, and was very pliable. That was all. I loved it when Carson said that maybe they could "shout out" a stain on the carpet, and then started shouting at it! "Get out! Get out!"

I saw some previews for next weeks show. Aparently the man in question has trouble gripping things.

I wish the Fab Five could come make over my hubby. He needs it. We also deperately need new couches. They are black vinyl, but the vinyl has cracked and come off in many places. I would love to hear what Carson would say about them!
