Queen Elizabeth funeral and looking forward

Never mind. It's back on.
It was off for more than a little while.
I wonder if something happened?
I didn't see anything in the British news.

I was very surprised to see Anne walking in the processional the other day and may I say good for her. I actually don't know a ton about her but would like to learn more. She strikes me as an amazing woman.

I have been seeing a lot of articles online about Harry and the drama over him wearing his military uniform and such the last few days. I have no idea how many of them are legitimate and how many are just clickbait type exagerating for dramatic effect but I saw an article just this evening talking about how Harry was so devastated regarding the ER insignia being removed from his uniform that he almost wore a morning suit to the vigil instead. Something about him wearing the uniform by special permission of the king but the ER insignia being removed as it signifies being in service to the queen and since stepping back from being a working royal he was no longer in service to the queen so it was removed.

I don't care if the story was totally made up clickbait or acccurate, either way it got a massive eye roll from me and I feel stupider having read it.
Abiut Anne, I was speaking about her to a London friend, and her first reaction was: she is a total badass.

About children attending, I think it really depends per child what they can handle. For some kids it might work, not for others. I didn't read anything about protocol requiring kids to be here. Two days ago already the news broke that George might be attending.

The situation is quite different from 25 years ago. There is a generation between it, it didn't happen as unexpected as with Diana. Phillip passed a year earlier. Dying of old age is not unfamiliar to these kids. And... well... they grew up in a loving home. I think that might also make a difference.
Who knows, maybe the kids have asked to be there. They weren't last time.

I'll admit, the vast majority of what I know about her is from watching the crown. The focus in the press and in documentaries and such largely focus on Charles and his brood so I haven't learned a whole lot. I now feel the need to seek out a good biography of her.

I wonder why Margaret's son is in the processional and not her daughter?
I suspect a male/female thing.

As in, if they are close/in the line of the throne, females can be part of the procession but otherwise, only males. Though I'm just thorwing this out as a thought, (based on other similar rules) and don't actaully know.

Did anyone else notice the rather large spider on the card in the beautiful floral arrangement on the casket? They zoomed in on the flowers and there it was…
