Again can we stop with the H and M bashing. You have no idea what happened and are just making up drama about them wanting "the focus on them". It has nothing to do with them or if they were with her. Remember Peter, Zara, Eugenia, Beatrice, Louise and James weren't there either. Neither were Mike, Eduardo, or Jack. Some report she passed a 1/2 hour before William, Andrew, Edward and Sophie arrived. (Minus Harry) I’m not where I can look at the time line but I will admit it’s all over the place. At least the others spent a great deal of time with her over the course of her illness. I’m sure that was a comfort to the Queen and her loved ones. You can often determine when a terminally ill person has a matter of days or hours left. Sometimes you can slow down the process so the family can gather to say goodbye. That went through my mind when reports were hitting the news
Thankfully she didn’t die alone. I remember that being my grandmother’s greatest fear…MIL’s too . I spent the day with dad and he passed 15 minutes after I left. Spent a solid week around the clock with my uncle. Stepped into the next room to answer a phone call and he passed . It’s hard when a family has one or two who want the focus on them and not the one who is dying. It shouldn’t be like that IMO It creates a lot of unnecessary drama and heartache. I can’t imagine what it’s like on a world stage.
The only reason William and Harry were asked to come to Balmoral immediately is to be with their father as he became King.
