I just finished a student appointment, turned to BBC and see that she has passed

Very sad. May she be at peace.
Has there ever been a tougher act to follow?Yes (though there will be ceremonies later). BBC has already said “The King and Queen Consort will spend tonight at Balmoral”. I may have the exact sentence wrong, but the point is that they already referee to Charles and Camilla and “King and Queen Consort”.

Yes, just so. Apparently the verbal proclamation is made immediately "The Queen is dead, long live the King".There is a quote from Terry Pratchett that says nothing moves faster than light with the exception of monarchy. The moment one monarch dies, their heir immediately becomes monarch.
The only thing known to go faster than ordinary light is monarchy, according to the philosopher Ly Tin Wheedle. He reasoned like this: you can't have more than one king, and tradition demands that there is no gap between kings, so when a king dies the succession must therefore pass to the heir instantaneously.
I wondered if he’d get there in time. Although he did refuse her invitation to visit days ago. Really sad. Some things you just can’t take back. The CNN live update page says they are likely just waiting for Harry to arrive before making any announcement
I would be surprised if he chose to honor his father with “King Philip”. I always though it would be Charles. Although I may be wrong. Queen Camilla is a pretty sure bet. Plus a new Prince and Princess of Wales.RIP to our wonderful Queen
There has been speculation as to what name Charles would take, but our new PM has just spoken outside Downing Street and said the King will be King Charles III
Seems strange to hear God Save The King
