Queen and Jasmine ... a Magical Birthday Trip

We had a wonderful day trip to the states yesterday! I think what I enjoyed the most was having time with just Jasmine and I all day We didn't have the radio on, we didn't sit in silence, we chatted the whole way and laughed, boy did we laugh.

We arrived just before the stores opened at noon hitting the mall first. She got a couple of things in Aeropostale and a couple pair of jeggings at Pacsun. I had no idea what jeggings were....I felt so out of the loop We then drove over to Kohl's and we bought absolutely nothing there....that has never happened to me....ever....I always get to use my Kohl's card Jasmine wanted to hit TJ Maxx (she works at the Canadian affiliate Winners) and really lucked in.....she bought 8 tops for $80...she was thrilled. I had to keep the laughter inside because I really see the difference now that she's spending her own money

Then it was my turn. Target here I come. I got everything but my over-the-door organizer but if I don't find one here, its not the end of the world....I just like my vanity clear of stuff for cleaning purposes

Our last stop was Old Navy where Jas got 2 pairs of capris. All said and done we were on the road home by 5 and home by 830pm. It was a great day!!!

When I got home I went on Facebook and noticed that my sister had sent me a message (they are on vacation in Minneapolis) about Disney. They broke the news to us that they are going to be in Disneyworld the same time as Jasmine and I...well they leave the 23rd and return the 28th....but it's just her and her hubby. No girls.....they are going to celebrate their 15 year wedding anniversary and staying at the Grand Floridian. I was so happy for them. Her oldest was happy for them, the little one, not so much. She wants to go and frankly who can blame the poor kid! I think we might try and do the MNSSHP togetherI'm so excited about that. They will be home in a week and hopefully we can finalize those plans!!!

We are doing Ep in the am then back to CSR for nap-swim, then EMH at MK with Kathy (KatMark) and Hubby. With the time change we do better with evening emh! If u decide not to go to MNSSHP with ur sis we are going on tues night.

Jasmine and I have a lot in common! Like my mom said I got some from Target the other day for $20 I was pretty excited!

It's funny how different I shop when I am spending my own money I take much longer deciding what to buy what want Jasmine and I will end up buying out TrenD next summer

Thats a good deal for Pac Sun! I had spent way too much money on jeans lately so I only allowed myself to buy them because they were so cheap


Hmmm that might allow us to leave merchandise for other Disney lovers so that might be a good idea

Hey Queen I finally made it over. I am all caught up now so lets see if I can comment on the high points.

First, Congrats to Jasmine on graduation . It is always a very good feeling knowing you helped your child reach such an important goal. She is absolutely beautiful in her dress, that dress is sooo pretty .
I hate that we will be there 2 weeks before you and will miss seeing you there.

Your plans look great . I love going back to the resort around the middle of the day and resting. It makes a big difference in how much enjoyment I get at the parks.

As far as being a strict parent; I too have always been VERY strict on my kids. I am over protective, but I have always felt that it is my job to take care of my kids and if I don't do it no one will.

I like going to Target too. I love the dollar section and I try to get lots of Disney stuff when they have it. I use the Purex sheets for my laundry and they are so convenient. I have taken them to Disney with me on our last two trips and they are no problem at all to pack since they fit nicely in a zip lock bag and are flat.

I know you are going to have a blast with your sister at Disney at the same time. My brother has DVC and goes every year, but we never seem to plan our trips at the same time .

I'm glad ya'll had a fun shopping trip to the states. Nothing like quality girl time .

Definatley do MNSSHP! So much fun.

My sister and i are in WDW from Sept 29th thru Oct 3, we really wish we had more then 7 days, so we could take breaks, but there is too much to do, so we REST when we get home.

I have made the decision to absolutely to MNSSHP...just have to pick the date which I will do this weekend. Jasmine works all weekend and Aladdin is going on vacation for a week with his family so I'll have tons of time to get those plans finalized!

We didn't take breaks in January either....there is way to much to cram into 7days....we rested when we got home too!!!!
