Queen and Jasmine ... a Magical Birthday Trip

I love your traditions & the pictures. Jasmine is so pretty like her mama. I'm looking fwd to seeing more flashbacks.

The pictures of ironing made me laugh! I have to say I don't believe a picture of me ironing exists. First of all I don't do it much. Secondly, I've never thought to take a picture of it. for two weeks!

Jasmine really has grown up! She is pretty no matter what, but I really like her hair like it is now better than when it was long in 2007.

It was weigh in day today and I was feeling great, I was in a smaller size, I had pants on I haven't worn in 3 years ..... and I stayed the same I wanted to cry! We added stairs to our nightly routine, which I have to say almost kill me, I can barely breathe when we're done and one more kilometer for a total of 7 and I stayed the same The lady at WW doesn't think I'm eating enoughwhich sounded weird to me, but I'm going to try and eat a little more and see where I am next week.!! I keep telling myself as long as I feel good it's all that matters, but that number on the scale haunts me

I am really looking forward to the long weekend! Jasmine and I are going to finish up all the last minute things for our trip! She works, but only four hour shifts so we'll head out early on Saturday morning and then it's done! I made my manicure and pedicure appointments for Sept 11 and Jasmine made her's for Sept 9! I have hair cut and color on Sept 8 and Jasmine still needs to book a cut but she's waiting to see what her shifts are for the week we leave!

I don't know how I managed to get so far behind but I love all your updates. I think 15lbs is great and if you are wearing pants that you haven't worn in three years and they feel good than that is success enough. Don't worry about what the scale says. You body could be in a slump and just trying to conserve what you are giving it. You will lose weight on your next weigh in. But I know how frustrated you must feel!

Love Jasmine's new cute bathing suits and shorts. Wowsa - you guys are organized with the packing. I have to finish this weekend. I decided to move into a bigger suitcase because I am going to take my tripod again.

BTW - I love your draw string backpacks. I totally want one of them. So cute.

I laughed when I looked back at the pictures! I actually let her wear a little bit of makeup on this trip, but only because my BFF's daughter begged me to let her put some on her. Jasmine hates her hair in these pictures.....she points out too that I didn't let her straighten it either I love her hair now, I think this style suits her the best, even last summer when she went blond, I didn't love it....I'll post some of those too

Frustrated is a great word....this losing weight is not all it's cracked up to be

We bought those backpacks in 2004 and I love them. I have a very similar one from 2005 but it's not embroidered! This is all we ever take to the parks!

Can't believe you're almost on your next trip....cannot wait for more of your beautiful pictures!!!!

Two weeks from today we will be travelling to our favorite place on earth!!I love the night before and travel day...they are so exciting! I don't love the flying part, but I know it's necessary to get to our happy place....I can't imagine driving for 3 days to get there....unless I have six weeks of holidays, that would never happen

We will leave the house at 3:30am to drive to the airport. They are telling us to be there 3 hours ahead so that's what we'll do, or close to it. We live 10 minutes from the airport so at that time in the morning, it's pretty quick to get there! This is another pic from 2007 with Kayla (my Bff's daughter) and Jasmine. The limo picked them up first then us! The girls were just a little excited..can you tell?

When we get to the airport I will stop at Tim Horton's and grab my last coffee before we get on the aircraft. I do miss my Timmies when we're in WDW. This is us waiting to board in August 2009...notice Jasmine is blond!

After I get my fill our my last delicious coffee for two weeks, we will head to security and customs. This is Carrie-Lynn, Aladdin and Jasmine before we left in January 2010.

Then we will board the plane, hopefully we won't be yelling at each other with our nervousness! I had to post this picture so you can see my BFF...my ironing buddy...Brenda! Kayla took this of us on our flight in 2007...both of us love the aisle seats because we're both 5'7" tall so we like to stretch our legs out! That and we knew the kids and her hubby would be sleeping the whole way!!

Jasmine will take one or two photos of the inside of the aircraft....

Hopefully before we know it we'll be in MCO....and making our way through the terminal to the mini-monorail....we fondly refer to it as our first ride of the trip

We will then make our way as quickly as possible to Magical Express....get on our bus and head to the resort

After we enjoy our ride and the video, we will pull into our resort and see this sign which just screams "home" to us!!

We will then make our way to check in - online check in lineup for the first time this year....super excited about that!!

Considering we land at 1:06pm we will keep our fingers crossed that our room is ready and waiting for us!

Even though I have a ton of room pictures from ASMu, I will take more!!!

We will then make our way to the front of the resort and catch our first Disney bus of the trip to take us to Downtown Disney!! Our first stop will be to each at WPE....I cannot wait to get there and have the butternut squash soup, it's my absolute favorite soup ever!!!

Jasmine will probably order a pizza ... it is her favorite here, however, when we went in January, she loved the chicken caesar salad....so she very well may go for that!!

If we have room left after our delicious meal, we may share a creme brulee....how I love creme brulee.

After dinner we will wander around the shops to scope out what's new and what we may want to purchase! We will head back to the room to get a good nights sleep so we can be up a refreshed in the morning!!!!!

I was laughing as I was going through all the pictures of past trips! I can't believe we're under 2 weeks now....I am so thankful for the long weekend, gives me another day to get stuff done

I have been having a bit of a dilemma....do I upgrade our 10 day hopper passes to AP's or not....I haven't solidified my vacation time for next year and if it doesn't work that we can go in August or September, I'm not sure when we'll go. I guess I have to try and figure it out before Sept 17.....

This time in two weeks we will be waking up to our first morning in Disneyworld. I love the first morning....I don't sleep well our first night there I think strictly because I'm too darned excited

We will get up and get dressed and head to the food court for our first of many Mickey waffles of the trip. Here is a pic of Aladdin and Jasmine in January at ASMo trying to figure out what they're going to have on our first day!

We'll then head to the front desk to re-check-in because we had to book room only for our first night. We'll keep our fingers crossed that we can stay in the same room! After that business is out of the way....we'll head to the piano pool....we love grabbing our books or magazines and heading to the pool. Enjoy these few pictures of the pool from our visit last summer.....

I have taken a picture of Jasmine with Ariel every visit that we have stayed at ASMu...her first picture she had just turned 6...she was so little when I look back at those pics.

After spending a few hours around the pool we'll head back to the room to get ready for another jaunt to DTD....I'll most likely leave some money there this time....here is a picture of Bongo's as we were taking the boat last summer from SSR to our dinner at Raglan Road.

We will take the bus and where are we going for late lunch/early dinner....Wolfgang Puck Cafe on the West Side. My goodness, the food here is sooooooooooooo good.

The Sushi bar....I think Jasmine just might try this! She has ventured outside her box this year and has actually tried some new foods....I know, I was shocked too, but she loves loves loves sushi!!!

Last year she had the cheese ravioli....I think she'll be ordering this again, but we'll have to wait and see I guess....

I ordered the macadamia nut crusted chicken and it was to die for...but I think I'll try something different this time.....what? not sure yet

Jasmine thought after dinner we could wander around a little bit more which probably means we'll both spend some more money in the World of Disney store...I really want one of those D & B purses....but again, not sure I can justify it, but we all know....I can usually come up with some justification of why I absolutely have to have something

Up next.....will be a flashback to our first park day .... on our upcoming trip our first park will be Epcot.......

I don't think we're going to do online check in, but only because we're room only the first night and I want to make sure we don't have to switch rooms, so will probalby just do regular!

Thanks....you will do great, I know you will!! I was worried about winter coming and not being able to get out everyday, but we decided we're either going to Sargent Park or Pan Am to walk the tracks and use the weights....should only be for the worst months Dec - end of Feb. Hopefully we can still be outside up until then!

This post will bring us to our first park day! Epcot!! We are very excited that we will be meeting Mary (MaryAz) and her family on this fine morning! Cannot wait....

We will hopefully arrive for ropedrop, get a couple of photopass pictures done and head into the park.

Jasmine's must do ride here is always Soarin' first, so we'll head over and grab some fastpasses and if time permits, ride standby. I love this picture from last August...my BIL has that "deer in the headlights" look and I'm not sure why?

This is what happens when you don't listen to the ride attendant and leave your flipflops on the ground.....Jasmine forgot and I didn't realize either and when we were going over the surf portion of the ride we always pretend we're kicking at the waves....well all I see is her flipflop flying through the air Fortunately, there was a lovely young man at the end of the ride that went a retrieved it for her

After a fun filled morning at Epcot we will head back to the resort for an afternoon by the pool...this is not our resort pool this trip but you've already seen that, so here is a pic that I took last summer while we were staying at SSR...I loved that resort

We will then retire to our room to get all prettied up to go out for dinner.

Our ADR's are at Coral Reef!! I know this restaurant gets a bad rap, however, we've only had one bad experience and that was last summer, but we will give it another chance.

After dinner we will wander around world showcase and take in the sites and sounds in the evening...one of my favorite times in the park. Here is a pic of Kayla and Jasmine in 2007

This picture is in a frame on the top of my fridge, it's one of my favorites of that trip!!

That will bring to a close a first full park day in Epcot! WS is probably my favorite place to be in all of WDW...there is something about wandering around there, looking in the shops, grabbing a bench and a Grey Goose Slushie that just makes me so happy!

That sounds like a fabulous day! We went to Coral Reef this past trip and I was a bit worried because I'd read all the bad reviews. We loved it though! I thought the food was yummy and the atmosphere was awesome. We're going back again in January!
