Queen and Jasmine ... a Magical Birthday Trip

Great job on the weight loss this week! A pound is awesome. The slower you take it off, the more likely you will be to keep it off. :thumbsup2

Love the shirts! :goodvibes

Congrats on the pound loss! Especially congrats on 15 pounds down! That is awesome:goodvibes

Thanks Mary Ellen....I have weigh in tomorrow, so I'll let you know how it goes. I was so hungry today I wanted everything bad, but I was good! I think I might treat myself to something tomorrow evening....just not sure what. I was craving a pecan mudslide from Dairy Queen, but when I saw how many calories it was, I just can't:sad2: I'll save those for a Strike It Rich sundae at Ghirardelli's:yay:

Not going too well? I will keep you in my thoughts, but I have to tell you, I thought you looked beautiful in your last TR my friend:hug:

Strike It Rich Sundae - I am adding that to my "list".

Thanks for the compliment. I always do weight watchers when all my clothes start to get too tight. I think its because we did a lot of traveling this summer, so there was always a reason to splurge. I just want eveything to fit comfortably on my September trip, so I think I am finally starting to move in the right direction.

yay for the weight loss!!! I was wanting to get to the gym and start working out again to lose some weight for my BFFs wedding in Sept and for the trips in Oct and Dec but the little lady who is taking in my bridesmaids dress (strapless) as advised to not lose a ton of weight or the dress will fall down haha..too cute right? But still ...I will not put working out on the back burner and just hold the dress up till the reception and then put the straps on!!

Can't wait for the pics!!!

Almost 15 pounds! That's great! :woohoo: Keep up the good work :thumbsup2
Hope you have a wonderful time with your extended family! :goodvibes

Thanks Dawn, sure feels good!! We are having a wonderful time .... such a fun time last evening at my sisters!

I completely agree with you....I have learned slow and steady and exercise is really the keys to keeping it off! Thanks:goodvibes

Congrats on the pound loss! Especially congrats on 15 pounds down! That is awesome:goodvibes

Thanks so much! I'm going to wait until next weekend to try on all the clothes I want to take....keeping my fingers crossed for another good week this week:yay:

We love the Strike It Rich Sundae....can't wait to have one:woohoo:

You've got this whole weight thing figured out! I wish last year I had been as disciplined as you are! I made the mistake of keeping bigger sizes in the closet which is the worst thing you can do. I've already packed up one bag of clothes for a woman's shelter....they are gone!!! Proud of you:hug:

Thanks girl!

Good for you! That is too cute! Good luck with your workout program....I love working out now! I still can't believe those words pass across my lips....I remember a time thinking "I can't do that, I'll never be able to do that" happy to say I'm doing things I would never have thought I could do:thumbsup2

Camera battery is charging and I'll have a post up later today!!!!

I promised I would do an update with some pictures today so here goes....
101-2.jpg

Jasmine went bathing suit shopping this week....can you believe this was the only one she tried on and it looks so good on her! Best part of it.....on sale for $18.00 !!
102-2.jpg

She also purchased some new pairs of shorts...she didn't need anymore, but apparently she felt she did:lmao:
103-2.jpg

Some of the toiletries on the list I gave her to pick up
104-2.jpg

....and a few more
106-2.jpg

Our backpack that we carry to the park everyday....we each have one, but we rarely each take one, we usually just take turns carrying one.
107-2.jpg

My new journal I bought for the trip....I picked it up in February when we were there....I really wanted a Belle one, but they didn't have one. I thought this one was cute!
108-2.jpg

Suitcases on the spare bed....
109-2.jpg

I love walking by the spare room and seeing this sight:cloud9:

I made my appointment to have my hair cut and colored on Sep 8 and my manicure and pedicure for Sep 11. I usually leave this until closer to the day we leave, but since I work the day before, I figured I'm just going with clear polish that I can change at home the night before we leave....lord knows, I won't be sleeping!

Jasmine still doesn't have her schedule for that week so as soon as she does, she'll book hers. She wants a trim too before we go, but not the end of the world if she doesn't get one.

That's about all the news for now, hope everyone is having a great weekend!

We always suspected our girls could do some damage if they hit the shops together....well....they have the same taste in clothes! Caitlin owns those plaid shorts, that are in the middle of the shorts picture, and she also has Hollister cutoffs hers just lack the paint splatters. I'm sure Jasmine will look adorable in her new things :cutie:

I love your journal. Perfect for taking notes for your TR. :)

Looks like everything is coming right along for your trip! Hopefully the time will pass quickly! :goodvibes

I had my weigh in yesterday and was down another pound....I was a little disappointed, I was hoping for more, but I realize that slow and steady really is the best way! That is just shy of 15 pounds total:woohoo:

A pound may not seem like much, but obviously they add up--you have lost 15 pounds!!! That is wonderful!

Love your packed suitcases! :goodvibes

I can't even imagine what those two are gonna be like shopping together:rotfl2: Jasmine said they both have excellent taste:lmao:

Right now I feel like the time is passing too quickly...I keep thinking of all the things I still have to do and keep wondering when I'm gonna get them all done! Looking forward to the upcoming long weekend, I'm sure I can get a ton of stuff done then:woohoo:

Thanks Denise:hug: It is a beautiful sight isn't it?:rotfl2:

Jasmine got some really cute clothes!
I love your Mickey backpack & LGMH! Have you ever seen another LGMH while at WDW? I put one on our backpack on our last trip, but I didn't see any others. I have one for our backpack for this trip too. This time I'm hoping I will see more than just mine!

Thanks, she also got some tops but for some reason I just couldn't get good pics of them:confused3 We're going to put all our outfits together this weekend, it's one of my favorite "getting organzied" tasks of all our trips!

I saw one LGMH but it was about 3 rows over in the bus line one evening on our way back to the resort:rolleyes1 I hope we see more this time too!

It was weigh in day today and I was feeling great, I was in a smaller size, I had pants on I haven't worn in 3 years ..... and I stayed the same:confused3:confused: I wanted to cry! We added stairs to our nightly routine, which I have to say almost kill me, I can barely breathe when we're done and one more kilometer for a total of 7 and I stayed the same:sad2: The lady at WW doesn't think I'm eating enough:confused3which sounded weird to me, but I'm going to try and eat a little more and see where I am next week.!! I keep telling myself as long as I feel good it's all that matters, but that number on the scale haunts me:headache:

I am really looking forward to the long weekend! Jasmine and I are going to finish up all the last minute things for our trip! She works, but only four hour shifts so we'll head out early on Saturday morning and then it's done! I made my manicure and pedicure appointments for Sept 11 and Jasmine made her's for Sept 9! I have hair cut and color on Sept 8 and Jasmine still needs to book a cut but she's waiting to see what her shifts are for the week we leave!

Hope everyone is enjoying their week and I'll be back with another post tomorrow evening!!!

Good for you! I know you didn't get a loss but when you look at the big picture - You lost over 15 LBS! Way to go, you are still working at it and you are not giving up! It is inspiring! I need to book a pedi and I have thought about a mani...I just hate having my hands touched, and hate the way polish feels (weird I know :lmao:)

I can't believe it is September! Our month is here!!!

Sorry about the scale. Weight is a weird thing because I think it fluctuates based on time of day, time of month etc. The good thing is your clothes are fitting differently which I think is the best measure of how you are doing.

So sorry about the scale staying the same; I can appreciate how frustrating that must feel. Hang in there, though!

You'll have to post pics of your new hair, nails, and toes after they are all done! :rotfl:

Hi Queen! Don't get discouraged by the scale. Eating a little more will probably do the trick. Sometimes you have to change things up a little to get the scale to move more. I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Mine is already off to a great start! :goodvibes

Thanks and you're right! I love getting a pedi, it's such a nice treat, but I very rarely get a manicure with colored polish, usually just go clear. I hate the look of chipped polish and mine usually chips within a day or two:confused3 Last summer my manicure actually lasted almost two weeks...I guess because I wasnt' doing dishes, washing floors and laundry:lmao:

I can hardly believe it's almost here:goodvibes

Isn't that the truth! I think that's why I was so shocked because I felt so darn good....oh well, I'm over it today! Went and did my workout tonight and I feel terrific:banana:

I will:goodvibes

Jasmine actually went and had her toes done this evening! She suffers from an ingrown on her big toe so she has to go frequently and the girl that does our toes only charged her $20 tonight! She said they weren't that bad this time....but to come back right before we leave and she'll put fresh polish on for her:yay:

Hello my friend:hug: I had all my meals and snacks today...it felt weird, but I did it. I usually save some points for the weekend "just in case" we go out, but I think for these last 2 weeks before we leave I'm going to follow program to a T!!!:cool1: Glad your weekend is off to a great start! Give the girls a big hug from us please:cutie:

Two weeks today I will have finished work and will officially be on vacation:cool1:

The plan is my BFF Brenda will swing downtown, pick me up from work and head out to our place! The only time she didn't come the night before we left on vacation was in 2007 when they went with us!

We have a tradition that we do the night before we leave to go to WDW and that is go to The Keg for dinner. The Keg is a steakhouse and just happens to be our favorite restaurant.
002-1.jpg

This is last August, my sis and her family were leaving the next day but Jasmine and I weren't going until the Monday but we kept our tradition and we all met at The Keg by their place because it would be quicker for them to get home and get the girls to bed ... not that much sleep happened that night!
DSCF1431.jpg

When we get home, I'll be finishing up the laundry and ironing.....ok, I'll finish the laundry and Brenda will finish the ironing:lmao: I could have sworn I had pictures of Brenda ironing at my house but I think they're on the other laptop that died:eek:
DSCF1436.jpg

Before we know it the suitcases will be packed and waiting by the front door. This is 2007 when we were going with Brenda, Eric and their daughter Kayla. I still can't believe 3 years have passed since that trip! Jasmine was almost 15 here....I thought she was so grown up, till I look at her now!

I have a feeling after working all day on the 16th that there is no way I'll be able to stay up all night like I usually do before we leave. The good thing is that it's not month end so it shouldn't be crazy at work....but then again, one never knows:rolleyes1

Tomorrow will be a flashback to travel days of the past.......
