Hello, can anyone tell me when the gov will update the quarantine information for travelers from NJ? I tried to search but I haven’t found any info from today. From my understanding the original quarantine ended today however, I would like to know if it is officially lifted or extended. Thank you!

Task Force is speaking now... I’ll see if they say anything.

You may also want to keep an eye on the fact that if you do travel from NJ to FL and back, you will have to quarantine for 14 days after returning to NJ. They just updated the list for those traveling into NJ, NY and CT and added three more states to the quarantine list. I believe it's up to 19 states with growing numbers.

I've been checking visitflorida.com. Supposedly they update their page everyday.

I just saw the updated. This is not good for our family. We are DVC and our points expire before we can can get back to Disney. We are losing tons of points. We are so frustrated.

Don’t get bummed until the travel order is officially extended. I still have not seen an official update.

I know it’s not ideal but you can always deposit them to RCI. There are some great places there.

We are also DVC and just had to cancel. My advice, call or email DVC and demand members from NY, NJ, and CT be dealt with as special cases; DeSantis is effectively shutting us out of using our membership. Don't settle for the RCI line. There are creative ways for them to deal with our losses.

I definitely sent an email about it. I don’t want to get into it over the phone with the poor CM on the other end of the call. But I do agree that DVC needs to do something for those of us in the tri-state. I do think they should extend our points but they won’t since they have such a huge glut of points now since the closure. It’s so frustrating to have to cancel/reschedule yet another trip to Disney.

I’ve resigned myself to RCI if my rescheduled trip does not happen or has to be canceled. There are some lovely kid friendly ski resorts a few hours from home that we keep saying we want to take our girls to now that the youngest is old enough for small group ski lessons.

what do you mean?

Well, what was stated today was that the State of Emergency was extended... I haven't seen anything official updating the quarantine yet. There was a post on Blog Mickey saying they called the health department (I believe it was), and they said it was extended- but I’d like to see it officially written here before I cancel anything...

Hopefully someone else has additional information, but I can’t find anything else on it.

I have been searching as well and cannot find anything official updating the quarantine order. Nothing against Blog M but it's not exactly a legit news source. I want to see something confirmed on the florida website. If this quarantine order is extended for the tri states I am very surprised it's not all over the major news networks yet.

Edit: I would also think it would hit the news networks for the fact alone DeSantis did not add on any of the HIGH numbers states to be quarantined upon arrival in FL. Just look at TX numbers. So TX who has extreme numbers right now can freely travel into FL and not have to isolate? But NY/NJ/CT with ten times lower numbers must quarantine??? It makes no sense :crazy2:

If i got a discount on my 2020 trip and have to modify to 2021 due to the quarantine would wdw honor the discount?

Just some quick observations....

None of the official FL travel sites have been updated since the EO went public so we are still waiting on an official announcement. All sites DO still list the quarantine restriction though. EO-20-52 was extended and the quarantine is tied to that order, but can be amended. This was done for LA. (who was in worse shape than NY/NY/CT is now when the restriction was lifted for them but who's counting!)

The one thing that seems to indicate to me that the quarantine is still in effect is that the I-95 checkpoint is still operating as of this morning. Not good news for those of us who are DVC and pass holders....

Hoping today its officially addressed....

But I have a question...we all on here are obsessing trying to find an answer, right? Wouldn’t the average person who doesn’t stalk these boards not have a clue because no news broadcast and not even the governor of Florida has addressed this? It should be black or white, we shouldn’t be reading between the lines or speculating if this is a thing or not. Because honestly if I didn’t consistently check these boards, I wouldn’t know either way! It was all over the news when tristate to FL was implemented, same for when FL to tri state was implemented...so why are we scrambling for answers now???
