Good chilly morning. 34 again, going to 57, light frost

@Judique Hopefully the rain doesn't spoil too much of your vacation. I loved reading your 'trip report', so far, keep 'em coming!

The only cleaning I did yesterday was vacuum and swiffer the kitchen floor. With 4 cats, there's always litter, despite the no track pad under the box.

Summer texted me complaining that her truck was still sitting across the street at the garage. It had been there for a week. She was going to drive it across the street to her house and have her son's friend fix it, but he said without a lift, it would be almost impossible for him to do. She was whining that she had to drive what will be Gracie's car (when she gets her license), but that the tires are bald. In the middle of our texts, her husband called to say they're getting done early, and she has to pick him up today instead of next week. She called the garage to tell them she had to have the truck fixed asap. They told her the best they can do is start it this morning and hopefully be done by early afternoon. She has to drive all the way to Cincinnati to get him, but at least his job said he can keep the hotel room for tonight so she can stay over and not have to make the long drive right away. When he goes back, she's pretty sure it's to Cincinnati again.

Last night she texts me again, with the prices for tires on Gracie's car, and sends a picture of how bald they are. If she was waiting for me to offer to pay for them, she's got a long wait. My reply was for her to call Walmart and the local tire place 2 minutes from her house and compare prices. I said nothing about paying for them, nor do I intend to. My friend in CO made this for me, and it made me laugh like crazy. She said to send it to Summer the next time she's 'hinting' about my paying or loaning her money.

Cleaning the fridge, gathering trash and making a grocery list are the only things I have to do today, unless I find something else that needs to be done.

Have a good day everyone

Thank you all. Small kindness I pray to be blessed to spread :) Typo on the name. Sean is the resident's son. I gave the card to A, a therapist, I saw in the hallway and she said she would get her colleagues to sign it. I will go check with her shortly so I can get others to sign as well. Extra hug for Bonnie dear Bobbi and you and Tom, too. Lynn, just a big hug. Peace and healing care to you dear Pea.

Bobbiwoz Glad Bonnie is home. She is lovely.

Lynn Summer really needs to get a better sense of finances and maybe try to find a more stable job. Not sure if that is an option. And with her husband working so far away all the time it really takes up time, money, and wear and tear on the cars.

Pea Thinking of you and wishes for healing and kind caring people surrounding you.

Good morning. It is 43 here now with temps only going to around 50. The electrician is coming this morning to put in the outlet for the water softener. He will take the extension cord back to the installer. The electrician has done so many of these outlets in this complex he knows exactly what to do. The water softener has made a difference so I am glad I did it. Now if the my decision about the Sedona trip could only be so easy! LOL!

Have a good day.

Hugs dear Snowysmom. Wednesday extra peace.

I'm looking forward to seeing my friend A today. :) I have a few, "A," named friends here. Dad and I are inching forward. The situation is just so sad and cruel. But to have the grace from God of forging ahead, extending forgiveness, and peace from Him and via dear friends likeable of you is truly miraculous in itself. Love to all.

Good morning. 40 going to a high of 50. 100% chance of rain today and tomorrow. Right now the sky doesn't look like it, but what do I know.
Heading out to do errands and groceries before it starts raining around 11, if they're right.

Mona, inching forward is better than it's been. We all want you home and out of that horrible situation.

Summer doesn't text me for weeks at a time, yesterday she wouldn't shut up, lol. Complaining about her truck, which is still sitting in the parking lot of the garage. They told her it would go in yesterday morning and be done in 2-3 hours. She called at 2, and he told her he'd be pulling it in 10-15 min later. He never did. She was going to be there this morning when they open to find out what's going on. If they're not going to fix it, they shouldn't have told her to have it towed there. If he says it's not going to be done today, she's going to call other garages, hoping to get a 1 day fix (I don't see that happening) and then have it towed to them.

She was texting with her mother about it, and her mother is no help. She actually told Summer to borrow the money for another car from me, oh really. I have a few choice words for her the next time I run into her.

Then I was having dinner and Summer texted again that she was on her way. I thought she meant Ohio, but she said she was heading here. She was here 10 min later and was here for almost an hour. I know what prompted the out of the blue visit, but I didn't mention cars or money one time, lol. She took a couple of framed pictures from the yard sale pile (decorative ones, not family ones) for Lily to hang in their new place, and took her the 2 brand new T Fal pans I have (big ones) that I never used. Found some rifle shells in the back of the closet, so she took those for Skylar. It was a nice visit, but I'd rather it be when she's not trying to get something out of me ($$).

Have a good day

Thanks dear Lynn. I am so sorry about Summer. You need peace!
It just got worse. Lily texted me, saying don't freak out, but Mom was in an accident. Someone pulled out right in front of her and she couldn't avoid hitting them. She's at the hospital with Lily and her mother, complaining of a sore lower back. they're waiting to have imaging tests done. Gracie's car is now totaled.
She asked Lily to ask me to call the garage to see if they fixed her truck yet, but despite letting it ring 25 times (and I tried 3 times), no one answers the phone. She needs that truck fixed, and she needs it fixed now. This morning the guy told her after doing a scheduled oil change he'd pull it in. The last time she texted me was at 1;30 and it was still sitting outside the garage. If they don't answer their phone, I can't do anything about it.

Just ❤️dear Lynn.

My Dad and I reached out to Antonia, a housecleaner who was recommended by a friend of mine from church. Antonia was very nice and is coming for sure next Thursday morning and probably Friday as well. Dad will need general housecleaning and help clearing furniture/boxing items up in preparation for our new floors. When we texted her our information, we also asked whether she will be available for 1 to 2 days after the floors are installed. We are moving forward on that front.

My friend who works as a counselor and also nursing home patient advocate visited today. She promised to advocate for the facility to finally request additional units of therapy for me. Updates to come on this also.

Attached is the duck that I will bring my 90 year old friend, A, as a belated birthday gift. Perfect Quacker present.

Love always to all.

Good morning! Getting ready to make my coffee and start the day. I had to check the calendar to see what day it was. Losing track of time! The weather has been very nice since Monday's downpour.

Since I posted Tuesday morning I have visited Epcot and Hollywood Studios. In Epcot I checked out the food booths and ate the Beer Braised Beef with smoked gouda mashed potatoes in Belgium. It was like a beef stew that had completely disintegrated into a beefy thick gravy but it was delicious! I also tried the Cheddar Bacon Soup and pretzel roll in Canada. They changed this. It was cold, and not flavorful as it had been in earlier years. The pretzel roll was dry. A bit disappointing as I always used to enjoy this.

I don't spin twirl or swoop so no exciting rides for me, so off to Living with the Land and a peaceful and cool boat ride. I always love looking at the various plantings.

Enjoyed walking around a bit and listening to the music. Then took the boat back to my room for a bit.

Later I made it over to Hollywood. Rode Toy Story Mania and got a very good score. At least for me! Then I watched the new Little Mermaid show. No rain this time. When you leave they dump you into a shop with hopes you will buy something. It worked on me this time as I spotted a cute, fuzzy pink jacket in a size 3T for my granddaughter. Quick picture and text with DS to confirm size and he said she would love it! I have an Incredipass and was able to get a 20% discount, which helped with the ridiculous price.

Still looking for a gift for my DD at home who is busy cleaning up after Dog, and feeding him and the cats. Dog has been naughty and messed on her twice. Meaning not on the puppy pads. Oh well, she's got his number now.

Yesterday, which was Wednesday I relaxed around the resort for a bit after breakfast. Close to noon I headed into Epcot for food booth lunch. This time I made it over to Hawaii and had the slow roasted pork slider with pineapple, and the pineapple cheesecake, plus picked up a blood orange mimosa next door at Shimmering Sips. I was able to balance all this until I crossed over to a bench where I sat and enjoyed all three.

I've noticed that almost all the choices of meat based offerings are beef. I lean more towards veggie and chicken. Moving on I wandered into Future World and then back into World Showcase to listen to the new act at Canada. No seats left, music was okay, but I decided to move on.

Up ahead was a sign for Americas Funniest Home Videos. Stopped to talk to the 'guy' and was invited to participate in a vote for the best of previous winners (of 20K I think it was) who were vying for a 100k prize. I've occasionally watched the show. Today it was hilarious with clips that had us all in stitches. I was glad I stopped and participated. At the end, everyone received a tshirt and we were told we would be the audience for the December 7th show. We signed and acknowledged up front that we were to be audience members with 'pay' being the tshirt. It was actually a lot of fun.

Continued on and exited the park back to Boardwalk. Tried to get a little rest before the Moonlight Madness at Animal Kingdom. Of course since I needed to rest, I couldn't so I took a shower to revive and then drove myself to AK. It was almost 5:30 so day guests were mostly gone. I got my wristband and snack coupons and went directly to the Safari which was a 15 minute walk on which actually took 12 minutes. I'd done a Safari on Monday morning and it was great. This one was late and some animals had already gone back to their night quarters. But even so, we saw hippos and eland and ankole cattle, giraffe, cheetah (4 of them!) elephants, bongo, rhinos and more. Back to Africa where I used up my food coupons on some dried up fried chicken dumplings (did not enjoy), a pouch of glazed pecans, which I took back for later, and a Dole pineapple float which was refreshing. Listened to the DJ for a bit. My back was now hurting and my right leg was not enjoying the evening so I hobbled back to my car and returned to Boardwalk. I was back by 8:30. Still, I enjoyed going and will sign up again if I am booked on the right days. Oh and I forgot the animal highlight. The lions were being especially frisky and the male kept jumping at/on the female and roaring. They were actually playing as opposed to the sleepy state we usually see them in.

Today I'm trying to decide if I want to go to Magic Kingdom. It won't be rope drop (I rarely do that) but maybe by 10 or so. Will decide later. For me there is no urgency to see anything. I'll be back.

Good rainy morning. Despite there being a 100% chance of rain yesterday (daytime), it never did rain until almost 8 pm. It's sprinkling and supposed to rain part of the day, but the temp will be 56 as opposed to the 46 we got to a high of. I had to turn the heat up a couple of degrees as the house was cold and I was freezing. 2 degrees made a big difference.

Summer texted me around 7 that she was almost home and would call me 'tomorrow' (meaning today). I texted back asking her to at least tell me if the scans showed any damage. She finally answered back around 10 saying that there was no damage from the accident, but that it didn't do much good for the aches and pains she already had in her back. She's supposed to call me today and tell me the whole story, but she needs to get hold of the garage first and ask them just what is taking so long to fix her truck.
With the Lincoln being totally out of commission, Gracie's car now totaled, she's down to just the truck. Her husband is still in Ohio waiting for her to come and get him. At this rate, he'll have to be back at work before he even gets home. I told her he should look for a bus or a train, but the bus takes like 14 hours to get from there to here, stopping in 3 other states.
I suggested that she ask her mother to drive her there to get him and bring them home, but of course, her mother 'can't do it', she has too many other plans. I can't drive that distance, and I'm not letting her take my car. If something happened to it, I'd be the one up the creek without a paddle.

I'm getting a beef stew ready for the crockpot for dinner. I'll freeze the rest in single serve portions. Just put laundry in so that will be done. It's kind of dark out and I have lights on all over the house, I hate that. When we change the clocks this weekend, it's going to be dark at 5:30, I hate that even more.

Got all my errands done yesterday. Dropped a lot of stuff off at Goodwill, went to the bank, got gas, stopped at Bath and Body Works to get my free reward items, and got groceries. By the time I got home, my back was killing me and my knees were aching so I knew it was going to rain sooner or later.

Mona, glad to hear that things are moving forward, progress is always promising!

Have a good day.

Thank you Always dear Lynn. Dear Judique, please keep enjoying your trip. Thursday hugs to all. Please pray my roommate M calms down! Worship and praise music helps but it has to be constant. She needs a Walkman if she would wear headphones. I will ask the director of nurses when I ask a medical question of my own about this. Worth trying! Hugs to all.
