Good rainy morning. Despite there being a 100% chance of rain yesterday (daytime), it never did rain until almost 8 pm. It's sprinkling and supposed to rain part of the day, but the temp will be 56 as opposed to the 46 we got to a high of. I had to turn the heat up a couple of degrees as the house was cold and I was freezing. 2 degrees made a big difference.
Summer texted me around 7 that she was almost home and would call me 'tomorrow' (meaning today). I texted back asking her to at least tell me if the scans showed any damage. She finally answered back around 10 saying that there was no damage from the accident, but that it didn't do much good for the aches and pains she already had in her back. She's supposed to call me today and tell me the whole story, but she needs to get hold of the garage first and ask them just what is taking so long to fix her truck.
With the Lincoln being totally out of commission, Gracie's car now totaled, she's down to just the truck. Her husband is still in Ohio waiting for her to come and get him. At this rate, he'll have to be back at work before he even gets home. I told her he should look for a bus or a train, but the bus takes like 14 hours to get from there to here, stopping in 3 other states.
I suggested that she ask her mother to drive her there to get him and bring them home, but of course, her mother 'can't do it', she has too many other plans. I can't drive that distance, and I'm not letting her take my car. If something happened to it, I'd be the one up the creek without a paddle.
I'm getting a beef stew ready for the crockpot for dinner. I'll freeze the rest in single serve portions. Just put laundry in so that will be done. It's kind of dark out and I have lights on all over the house, I hate that. When we change the clocks this weekend, it's going to be dark at 5:30, I hate that even more.
Got all my errands done yesterday. Dropped a lot of stuff off at Goodwill, went to the bank, got gas, stopped at Bath and Body Works to get my free reward items, and got groceries. By the time I got home, my back was killing me and my knees were aching so I knew it was going to rain sooner or later.
Mona, glad to hear that things are moving forward, progress is always promising!
Have a good day.
