I hope our oldest son and his wife are able to come to Cape May for a few days this week. I know they love the shore, but they are very busy, and I think this cooler weather may keep them away.

I have 4 doctors visits this coming week, and one is my gastroenterologist, and I am happy about that.

Nancy, my sister is out getting bagels for us. Looking forward to having breakfast with her.

Fall is in the air. I love the cooler temps in the morning. I got out early and did some errands and took a walk too. So nice. I saw Jeff and family yesterday. The kids were pasting pictures into their autograph books. They got so many autographs of the characters. We discussed at length the Disney trip and I ended up changing my dinner ADR to Brown Derby as we will be in Studios and I just want to stay there and do things into the evening and not have to leave for dinner. I also added Plaza rest for supper on Thursday as it will be a nice place to take a break before doing more evening stuff. Jeff and Aimee had dinner there and said it was really good. I have been there before but it has been a bit. We have our plan for Lightning Lane rides and we do want to ride Guardians of the Galaxy. Waiting for Mid September. I am logging into work for a bit and then more housework. Then reading and Hallmark.

Good morning (afternoon now since I started this). I’m enjoying the cooler temps, too, @PollyannaMom, but I will miss throwing shorts on in the morning unless I pair them with a sweatshirt.

You guys would be proud of the progress I’ve made in my room. Sorted through a ton and cleaned as I went along. Today I’ll do my lingerie chest and later today or tomorrow start my actual closet. Even washed the curtains and I have a new bedspread when done. I’ve lost weight so some things were big for me and I let those go. Got about six bags of donations so far of things that were older (some like really old, lol), I didn’t enjoy wearing or didn’t fit me anymore.

DS and his gf and the kids came by last night, which was nice. Made a lemon chicken bake with vegetables and cranberry sauce and it was good. Kids love fruit so that’s mainly what they ate, with a little chicken. Fun to talk about our upcoming trip. We have Crystal Palace booked during MNSSHP but I think we’re going to cancel it since we’ve read some reports about rides being walk on during that time frame plus we want to sample some of the dedicated party food - there’s a hot dog that sounds delicious. A must-have for me at MK is also the pineapple upside down Dole Whip, too (though the banana cake sounds good too, I enjoyed that from the hospital menu recently). We haven’t planned our other days yet, just taking a relaxed approach about things and we’ll probably decide day by day what we’re going to do. Weather wise it appears it’s going to be in the 80s. I hope it doesn’t go much higher than that. Toto knows something’s up.

Lynn I’m glad Summer got your money back to you, even if it was an abbreviated visit. I hope she can get her life straightened out. Snowysmom I’m glad Jeff and family had such a nice trip. Mona, I hope you get a good roommate. Bobbi, good luck with all of your appointments - I’m in the same boat. Judique glad you’re enjoying your trip planning. Nice to see easyas, footballmouse, dazed, taz and others.

We recently ate dinner at the Plaza for the first time in over 20 years, and we enjoyed it too!

It's been more than 20 years for me but I remember eating a club sandwich and enjoying a milkshake.

Good morning. Cool here at 52 with temps heading into the low 70s. It will be a bit warmer this week with temps into the upper 70s. Yesterday was a quiet day. Today will be too. I am heading to Kenny's for BBQ food tonight. The kids won't be there. We will be going over the Disney trip stuff that Jeff, Aimee, and I discussed. For us a Disney trip is like planning a major event. Aimee, Jeff and I enjoy it while Kenny says to just tell him where to be at what time. I already know what rides his kids want so that factors into it. Plus both kids tell me this is my trip so I get to do what I want. And what I want is for everyone to have fun and do some things they like. And I will have my rides I want to go on too. I hope to get to the lake today to walk. I have a doctor appt tomorrow and it is the start of a busy week at work. It will be a crazy busy day. It takes so long to get a dermatologist appt that I had to take what I could get. I made the appt 7 months ago! I will relax a bit today.

Oh my on the dermatology appt! I went last year and they've been contacting me by text ever since. Doc gave me 3 or 4 referral visits and I didn't go back once we found out the teeny spot on my face wasn't cancerous and my Rosacea was still just that. Seems there are quite a few dermatologists in my area anxious for patients.

We have alot of dermatologists in this area and the area in which my PCP practices. But so many people are seeing dermatologists you can wait months depending on the issue. I did see a derm nurse practitioner my PCP recommended for the same issue back in the spring and she made her diagnosis but did not completely answer a couple of questions. Since I had this appt already scheduled I decided to get a second opinion and be absolutely sure and ask my questions again. This doctor specializes in my issue so I really want to get his diagnosis. It is more of a cosmetic and self esteem issue, not a big health issue.

Extra love and prayers Bobbi, Judique and Pea. Thinking extra of all three of you. Happy September to all my dear Quacker family. I am excited and so very grateful at the peace from God extra that by the end of tomorrow my longer term care need will be taken care of at last.

I am so loving having the room to myself. I briefly had a new roommate on Saturday night. She (I don't blame her) was not happy. She was moved to another room. I have asked a few staff who I am closer with for roommate recommendations. I put in a request yesterday to get my old roommate M back. M is thank God doing much better than when I last really knew her. She was the lady on dialysis who ended up in the hospital for three weeks. She is talking more now but still overall quiet. I know she doesn't smoke, watch loud tv, yell, etc. I hope to get her back. Of course I would love to keep this room to myself! There are no single rooms here. I hope M will work out.

Since I had this appt already scheduled I decided to get a second opinion and be absolutely sure and ask my questions again. This doctor specializes in my issue so I really want to get his diagnosis. It is more of a cosmetic and self esteem issue, not a big health issue.

And I think that's a good reason to go. Sometimes others don't even notice what bothers us, but if it bothers 'me' that's what counts.

Yesterday my two grands were spending some time with DD's best friend who lives near me. Picked up older DD and took her to find some shoes. We had done this shopping expedition with both girls but did not find anything in the shoe choices that worked for the oldest.

Yesterday we found what she wanted and then some. She was so happy! Meanwhile she spotted a Crumbl cookie store and wanted to get one. I promised we would return after we were finished shopping.

We went back and figured out the store doesn't open on Sundays. So much disappointment! Not for me, too much fat and sugar!

Anyway, we went again today and she got her cookie. Happy little girl! "I love you!" It was important to her for whatever reason.
