Quarantine and chill and kindness chatty clubhouse: Jump in and join the conversation! All is welcome!

Happy Sunday, everyone. Dad, God willing, will be here for lunch :) It's a blessed new day. I also look forward to watching online worship. God gave me the words to write what I pray is a simple yet heartfelt letter to the director of this facility. I am reminding this person why his original yes was (and IS) so important to me recovery wise and am asking him to please honor our agreement. He may not be back here until Wednesday. I will update. Thank you all for your extra prayers and love.

As a p.s. Yes, this time I will have ready a written agreement form for him to sign.

As a p.s.s. Just for all of dear you. I started my letter with a reference to the song, "If Just One Person," from Snoopy the Musical. I remember posting a video of the Peanuts characters singing it a couple times right here in our thread. How blessed I am that years later God has kept us a Quacker family to grow in faith together, serve, and support one another out of deep belief in and loving care for each other. Thank you all with love always.

I will check back in later.

Good morning. Had a bad thunderstorm around dinner time yesterday, dumped down the rain for almost 45 minutes. Calling for the same this afternoon, temps around 90.

Tiger was outside the door meowing at me for food this morning, after being gone for 2 days again. I know she's not being fed anywhere else, because she's skinny. She wolfed down her half a can of wet food, then did something I've never seen her do and eat one of the other cats food. I got her another half a can. She stayed out there for a long time eating dry food and drinking water, so I guess she figures she's gotten what she needs for another day or so. Very strange behaviour on her part.

I didn't do much yesterday, yet I was tired. In bed by midnite, asleep by 1 and slept until almost 9 this morning. All my late nights watching tv and talking on the phone with my friend got to me I guess. Nothing on my to do list today either.

Have a good day

Extra hugs and prayers to all. Dad just left after a nice visit. We look forward to God willing seeing each other again tomorrow. We agreed that also God willing, which I inheritantly believe it is His will for me, we will have a celebration lunch together later this week after my issue is permanently and positively resolved. What a blessed time we will share.

Good morning, 76° here, and heading up to low 80’s. It’s Monday, and my orchids get dunked!

I have chiropractor appointment today. My neck is feeling so much better!

Tom just got a callback from American Airlines, so, we’ll be good to go for a morning bike ride before it gets too warm!

We are already at 78 at a little after 7am. 70% chance of rain and like most of the east, under flood watch. My house is not in a flood zone and no worries about water in my basement, but today I was going south on a little drive and will postpone it as I think I will wait for a 'no rain' day. Those are not that common recently.

Tomorrow I have to go for a second breast image as the company could not locate my last ones. Hopefully all is routine on that front.
( @Pea-n-Me thinking of you.)

Meanwhile, DD and family will head to Florida later this week. They will be using a timeshare week very near Disney given by a friend's parents who can no longer use it. For those who know the area it's Sheraton Vistana. I haven't stayed there but it is definitely close to the bubble. They will not be doing parks as that is out of the budget - there was no budget as this is a last minute trip - however there are loads of stuff to do in the area and they will also visit the Gulf area and my favorite state park for some beach time. I was invited to come but 'no thanks' to the heat this time of year. I'll be going mid November when it cools down a bit.

Good morning dear friends. Please stay cool and keep hydrated everyone especially those of you in extra heat. Last night I was so blessed to talk with a few friends here. One of whom, J shared such a beautiful testimony for me that if need be I can use to God willing get the resolution I so desperately need care wise. I believe God is using this situation to show His love and Presence with us always. That no matter what anyone does or says, love and what is right wins because He is Love. I pray a tiny way with anything to be serving Him. And what happens when a group of people He connected support each other. I thank Him always for all of you, my Quacker family, that's for sure! :)

Good morning. Humid and sprinkling lightly. Calling for heavy storms around noon. They said that yesterday and we didn't get a drop of rain. Dry tomorrow, then rain on Wed, dry on Thurs, and then rain on Fri, Sat, and Sun. Horrible summer weather.

Tiger has managed to be here for breakfast 2 days in a row, she's on a roll. For a change she didn't disappear right after eating, she's curled up on a deck chair sound asleep.

Nothing new here. Not planning on doing much of anything. Didn't fall asleep until 4 am, woke at 8.

Have a good day

I got the mower out and did the front, back and one side. I was just going to get the push mower out to do the other side of the driveway (it's too slanted and not safe to use the rider) when it started to thunder and the sky is getting pitch black. I think a storm is imminent, lol. I'll finish tomorrow as long as the grass dries out before noon.

Lynn Hope you got some rest. Glad Tiger is making more regular visits and eating well.

Flyingdumbo127 I hope you get the resolution you want.

Pea Praying for a good recovery and lots of rest for you. Take care!

Good morning. It is going to be hot for the next few days. Today is supposed to be in the upper 80s and tomorrow near 90. I miss walking at the lake but it is too hot to do so. On Saturday I went to the lake with Kenny, GF, and Clifford the dog. We had a nice long walk on the trails. It will be a gym day today. I want to talk with my boss about cutting back hours starting Sept 1 but she was out sick yesterday and we missed our usual meeting. I am in planning mode for the next 6 months and what I want to accomplish. Going to 30 hours a week now and then 25 after the new year are part of my planning. Next week is the Legoland NY trip with the family. I am letting them do most of the planning and literally just going along for the ride. I will use my planning skills for the Disney trip. I will also ask Aimee for help as she is a planning guru too. Since we only have 3 park days and Jeff comes in for 2 days, I want maximum value for our time. There are rides I want to do with everyone and time with just my guys one evening. Kenny's GF already said she will stay with the kids.

Have a good day.

Good morning. Rained like crazy mid afternoon yesterday, then again last night, then overnight. Going to be 89 today, then rain again tomorrow. I'm trying to do yardwork in between all the rain. Because it's been so warm, the grass dries out quickly. I have one more side to do as soon as it's dry this morning.

Tiger is on a roll and was here for breakfast again. Then she sits on the chair and waits for me to pet her. Sits for awhile, gets more food and a drink, and then disappears, lol

I've been binge watching Sullivan's Crossing on Netflix just for something different to watch.

Already took the trash down, made my grocery list and now I'm trying to find something else to do.

Have a good day

Just checking in. Been a rough several days. Can’t wait to get the tight dressings off tomorrow at my post op appointment (not sure if they’ll take the drain out it still has a lot of output), then I think I’ll feel better. Haven’t been sleeping well, had to buy a chair pillow to sit up a bit, very uncomfortable in bed. Trying to increase my walking now.

But lots of support from my friends, family, and God. ❤️ 🙏 Thank you for your prayers.

@bobbiwoz, my son bought me an Orchid this past Mother’s Day. I’ve never had one before because most of my indoor plants don’t do well, I’m not one of those people that has the “touch” - as my MIL did, she always had them and so many other types of beautiful plants. However this thing’s been doing pretty well! I will try to post a picture of it later. I just follow the instructions and give it 1/2 cup of water weekly. I moved it to our sunroom it might’ve been a little too warm, for the first time two leaves fell off, so I have it back in the regular part of the house which has AC. Do you know what temps they like best?

Happy that Tiger has returned! Secretly, I never gave up on her.

I'm busy having a field day and more with medical issues and testing in the last week or so.

Tomorrow it's blood work very early.

I've had 2 mammograms, a dexascan (spelling) anyway, bone density scan. Also a breast ultrasound, a hip xray and maybe something else I can't remember.

First mammogram was routine along with the bone density test. 2nd one because they saw something on the first on my right breast.
They did that and an ultra sound today and I'm going to have a biopsy in a couple weeks (already scheduled). My son looked over my test results and was not overly concerned. In his job he sees those things all the time. It's very tiny, pea sized, but with the machines they have these days, looks like they can see a needle in a haystack. And I'm way early on this so I don't anticipate any serious problems. I told my son I didn't feel anything and he said you wouldn't as it's too small even though described as a mass at first.

Bone density - test results fine but I have a congenital back problem which throws my back out of whack very easily. That happened during and as a result of trying to position me for the test. I'm not back to normal yet and may have to go for some therapy. A nerve may be compressed or pinched. Meanwhile I'm in some serious pain but keeping moving to get my stuff done. I've had this happen in the past but bounced back quickly. I was probably a bit younger, lol.

Hip xray was ordered when I went back in to get a referral for the 2nd MMG and US and mentioned my back issue. My regular doc didn't see me and the person who did wanted to get stuff started. I got it done as it's pretty quick and easy. Meanwhile I'm not getting a lot of sleep.

Before my breast tests I went to pick a few blueberries in my backyard. Trying to get some before the birds eat them all. Two Mockingbirds! Anyway, managed to get a tick on me while out there, found it when I hopped in the shower. Hate those! So add that to the drama because my doc will want to pop me on the antibiotic as soon as I see him.

Anyway being older can be a full time job!
