Good morning. Sunny, without the breeze we had yesterday. Temp today will be low 70's again, I love it. Windows open, fans on, don't need the ac. While it was nice for doing yard work, it was blowing things all over the place. I got everything mowed nice and neat, and the neighbor weedwacked for me last night. He's living up to our bartering agreement which I appreciate. I don't have to keep asking him to do it.

They're calling for rain overnight and tomorrow, when it will only be 58. They're saying WV could get more flooding rains overnight, and they don't need that.

I decided that I'm going to clean out all the kitchen cabinets today. There's a lot of things I don't use and I can move things down from the top shelves and not have to use a stepstool to reach them.

Good morning. It is chilly here at 48 with temps only going into the 50s today. It has been raining but it is supposed to be mostly cloudy today. Tomorrow is going to be a washout with rain and wind. Glad I don't have to drive into the office. My Disney trip in Sept has been changed as Kenny forgot to check his schedule before saying he could go and he works the weekend we were going to be in WDW. Glad we got it sorted out now. And it forced everyone to finally book and get the discounts. We had to reschedule to the next week. And we are now at Boardwalk Inn. Jeff was only able to get Boardwalk Villas but that is OK as the hotels are attached. Now we just make sure Kenny's ex is OK with the kids being out of school for 3 days. And it is Kenny's time with the kids from Wed through Sun so it works out. I couldn't sleep after all the scheduling and texting plans back and forth. So crazy. Ellie and Mom are going to Disney in July for a weekend for Ellie's 10th birthday. She got a good deal on a DVC property for 2 nights. They know it will be busy but Ellie is so excited. They will do Lightning Lane. Aimee is really good with getting rides and scheduling things. I got Ellie a Disney GC for her birthday so can buy herself some Minnie Ears or whatever.

Good rainy morning. Depending on who you listen to, we're either going to get 1/2" of rain, or 2-3" with the chance of 4. Makes no sense to me. 53 now going to a high of 58.

I'm heading out to do errands in case the heavy rains they say may come this afternoon get here. I let Summer know the forecast and she texted that she was picking up her husband from work ,staying overnight at a hotel and driving home today. I suggested that they head home last night, just in case, but I doubt if she listened to me. Gracie is home alone again, so I made sure she was aware of the fact that more flooding could occur. The issue with that pipe hasn't been fixed yet, so if the rains get heavy, they could end up with more water in the house.

Hooray for Disney trips dear Snowysmom. I'm also grateful yours could be rescheduled. Please stay warm and well. God Bless Ellie. She is sure growing right up and as such a graced young lady with you in her life.

Dear Lynn, you please stay warm and well, dry, also. Summer prayers and for all impacted by storms.

Good morning friends. We had lovely weather yesterday. Right now it is chilly but supposed to warm up nicely. Dad did talk to Sonia yesterday. As of then, the owner is refusing to do anything about our floors. Sonia is coming out tomorrow morning to look at them. We will go from there. Meantime I am going to encourage dad to set up a free, no obligation estimate with a flooring company just to give us an idea of cost.

Grace of God, I am doing fantastic. To come home to our current floors would be detrimental to my feet. A positive here are definitely the smooth even floors that must have protection underneath because my feet have done walking and manuevering my wheelchair on them. We, of course, pray to keep my recovery moving forward. God willing, more on this later and/or tomorrow.

Good afternoon slipping thread save. I just came back to my room from going around the facility in my wheelchair. I will do this again later today along with my other exercises. By God's loving grace, day by day, I keep getting stronger.

I scheduled a free, no obligation in-home estimate with Empire Today for Friday morning. Sonia is coming tomorrow morning. This way, we have both covered. I just said hi to R, who thankfully didn't say anything to me about leaving. I will update him tomorrow.

Empire Today said installation could happen next week so that was great to hear. They will price out vinyl and laminate. Both will include leveling out our spaces, completely removing our current floors, and placing shock absorption material down before installing the new flooring. No idea on cost but it is free to find out.

I am pretty sure (I will find out) that the floors here are vinyl. As I have said, they have been feet-friendly as I believe vinyl is softer than laminate. One step at a time.

@flyingdumbo127 Sounds like you have a plan for the floors. I am not sure how that would work, doing it yourself in an apt. Would you have to get the landlord's approval first? It seems like the landlord or their rep are very hard to get in touch with. I hope it works out either way. Glad you are doing well!

Good morning. Chilly rainy windy day ahead. Up to 2 inches of rain coming in. It is 45 degrees here now and not getting too much warmer. My DGS Sam turned 3 yesterday. We did a video chat last night. He just seems older than 3. I think having the older siblings makes him want to keep up with them. He got a remote control monster truck just right for his age. He loves it. The kids are finishing their arrangements for Disney. Jeff rented a car. He says it is a convertible but I think he is just being funny. He always adds ha ha after it. If he did rent one he is going to have to take me out for a ride! Kenny is flying out of Manchester NH. Jeff and I are flying out of Boston. Jeff is on the same flight back that I am on which is nice. I only have to go by myself one way. Kenny comes in Wed later in the day. I told him to text me when they leave the Orlando airport for the resort as I will be in Epcot enjoying the food and wine festival. As you can tell I am very excited about this trip. My kids made my year! Looking at planning already. I will go through many versions before we get together and make final plans.

Thank you on our floors. Dad will tell Sonia that we have Empire Today scheduled to come out tomorrow. Years ago, possibly with a different owner, our next door neighbor had her carpeting replaced with laminate. She had the work done on her own. We are sure praying that the owner has a change of heart and will contribute something. God willing, Sonia does come and I will update later.

Do any of dear you with an Android phone know how to copy/paste a text? I want to save a birthday text as an email to print out when I get home.

Good morning. It showered on and off most of the day yesterday, but around dinnertime, the downpours came. It rained almost all night. Chance of scattered showers today and the temps only mid 50's. I've had enough rain to last a while. I still say come June and July, the rainfall will taper off and it will be nothing but dry.

Walmart and Aldi's weren't as busy as I thought. Since school was cancelled, I figured there would be a lot of kids running around, but it wasn't as bad as it could have been. I was done with errands and home by 10:00.

I woke up with a heck of a headache, from the rain I assume, so won't be doing much until it subsides.

Watched Survivor finale last night, not happy with who won. I wish they would go somewhere besides Fiji for a change.

Mona, I hope that your floors get done soon, but I'm also guessing that your landlord should be notified if you have Empire do the work.

Good evening slipping thread save. Sonia finally did come early this afternoon. She said she didn't think the owner will contribute anything. Dad is going to let her know Empire's estimate and that 11 years ago, he paid the majority of the flooring cost so it isn't as though we are asking a second time for fully paid for flooring. Mediation through renter's rights is optional for attending so that won't do us any good plus it would take time.

Tomorrow, I will ask R, the social services director, for one last service extension. Father's Day is Sunday, June 15th. I came here from the hospital on dad's birthday in February. What a tremendous extra blessing it would be to go home by or ON Father's Day itself. One step at a time always by God's grace.

Good morning. Another rainy dreary chilly morning. It does not feel like May. It is 43 with a feel like temp in the 30s. Temps are supposed to get into the lower 50s today. Yesterday I went to the gym to use the treadmill. I want to get outside to walk again. This weekend I plan to start really getting things ready for the cruise. It is 3 weeks away. I like to try on outfits and then set them aside if I like them. Crazy I know. I do need to bring some dress pants and less casual tops for dinner. I will bring a few tops and just switch them out each night. I am trying to pack on the lighter side but that is hard for me to do. At least there is no airplane travel involved.

You are so right, of course. There is no point to renters rights or basic owner stipulations such as replacing flooring every seven years if neither truly happen. We will see what Empire says and then if the owner would agree to cover any of the cost. This just puts both me and dad in an awkward situation that's not fair to R either of needing to ask him to stay longer without yet being able to provide specific dates of when work will be done. All we can do is tell R this and hope he is able to accomodate us. He has been very understanding over the last few weeks. I also realize my staying longer may not be up to him. Updates God willing to come later today.

Good morning. We had downpours on and off all day yesterday, so my headache persisted. I did nothing much except for lay on the couch and watch tv. This morning dawned sunny and windy, temps only mid 50s. Going to warm up tomorrow and hopefully I'll be able to get the yardwork done.

Mona, it's not so much R cooperating, your insurance company has to cooperate too, and I don't know how many times they're going to grant extensions. It's not so much a medical issue anymore, it's the floors in your apartment. I had a feeling the landlord wasn't going to want to do anything. I hope Empire doesn't give you a high in the sky estimate.

Making a quick run to the market so I don't hit any crowds tomorrow. Then I have some laundry to do. That might be the extent of my exciting day, lol

Dear Lynn, big hugs and please feel better, my friend. I agree 100%. I will tell dad that in my opinion, he should schedule the floor work today for next week or early the following week. I would feel much better asking to stay longer if we had an actual floor work date scheduled. I think part of dad's hesistancy is as I have said, all the work before and after that will need to be done. R may even have some ideas about that and I can ask others here, too. You just take care please!
