Big hugs dear Snowysmom. I continue to be so thankful that your boss, as she better, seems to value you. Hooray that you are treating yourself to a WDW trip. You can extend your birthday. I wish you extra joy and fun. Thank you, always, for your kindness.
Dear Lynn I'm sorry you had more delivery trouble

May today be much smoother! Enjoy your nice weather and thank you, dear Bobbi.
Why am I posting so early? I've been up since 3:30am when I used the bathroom. Before I say more, please know dear friends, I was and am perfectly fine. I know all of you (unlike the station nurse it seemed) will be concerned.
It is such a blessing to be 100% bathroom independent other than needing the wheelchair. I was heading back to bed when I heard my door open. It was J, a man who may not be able to see but God Bless him truly he still gets around. Problem is, of course, he absolutely should NOT be given free reign to wander the hallways in his wheelchair because he opens closed doors and enters rooms uninvited!
As you all can imagine, I was not happy about my uninvited visitor, J! It was a blessing that I was awake and out of the bathroom. I asked him to leave. He only made some noises in reply. I don't think he speaks. He was in front of me and had closed the door. He then turned his chair enough to where by God's grace, I was able to manuever his chair enough out of my way to get out of the room! Yes, I did call out for help. No surprise no help came. I saw why in the empty hallways right here and un manned station 2 (my section) nurse's desk.
I did run into a kind CNA I know well named R. She was aghast at the situation and said she didn't understand why this man was allowed to do this. R came back with me the little way back to the station desk. I assured her that J was out of my room or was when I left. We saw A, the overnight charge nurse for this section return and take a seat like nothing was amiss at all.
I asked A what he was going to do about what had just happened. He laughed for a second and asked if I was talking to him. Unbelievable. Meanwhile R had found J in another hallway at the end of mine and must have taken him back to his room.
A finally responded to me that he was now, "back from break," and would be, "sitting here," (at the desk at station 2). I think that was his way of agreeing with me that he would watch my room.
J, by the way, is the same man who my dad wheeled out of here one afternoon when J had come right in. I shared about that and how glad I was that my dad was here. Between then and today, J had only come in once. Thankfully he did so when a kind charge nurse T was in here talking with me. She reacted immediately and sincerely apologized. I am hoping she will be here again this morning at 7am. (ETA that T is here) I definitely will be reporting what happened and to a supervisor. J, obviously needs a 24/7 sitter.
Around 4:40am (an hour after the above incident), a male CNA (he never said his name) changed my roommate M's diaper and left. Not a minute later than A himself noisily comes in and said, "Ms. R (my roommate) time for your medication. In your mouth." I don't think M replied. A then said, "No? Then I have to test your blood sugar." Without even asking M for her consent to draw her blood let alone get her okay, he goes ahead and does it. M didn't seem to reply until A then announced it was, "medication time." M cried out (I think she may have been more awake by then and realized a strange to her man was right there and without her okay doing things to her) A said to M, "let me finish " He must have because finally he told M to, "have a nice day," as he left!
Oh my goodness! The doors to this place ought to be closed now! Neglect, abuse, steamrolling, in a way assault because M had no idea what was going on other than she didn't like it. Poor M! M also doesn't have vision so that (from my point of view) makes how A treated her so much worse. It was if she didn't matter in the least similarly to how my old roommate A who doesn't speak much English was often dealt with. Cruel!
Yes, should J ever come in again like he did I might call the police. Keep in mind my phone was on my rolling table by my bed. I would have had to have gotten out of the wheelchair and onto my bed to have gotten it. I would have done that had I not been able to get around J. Pressing my call light wouldn't have, as I saw by the vacant desk, done me any good. I will be taking my phone with me to the bathroom from now on!
What a night, huh? :/ My time of month started, too. I'm so glad it's after 6am now. 7am to 3pm will start soon and there will be many more people around and who care like R! I will follow up on this and update later.
I have even more incentive than ever to do all I can to get out of here!
Thanks for listening my dear Quacker family and your loving prayers and support always. Have a good Tuesday.
