Quarantine and chill and kindness chatty clubhouse: Jump in and join the conversation! All is welcome!

Dad took this picture of Evergreen a couple of days ago. God has sure/still is growing His Christmas tree healthy and green. It will be a blessing for me to help dad tend to our tree again when I come home. Dad just left :/ It was an extra joy to spend time together today. We are looking positively forward to the new week ahead as continuing God willing to help me get much closer to home. I look forward to seeing Susan tomorrow morning. Afternoon and early evening hug to all.

Good morning. It is 37 now with temps going into the 60s. Yesterday was a sunny but windy day. The grandkids had a nice Easter egg hunt. It was fun to watch them make trades with each for the toys that were in the eggs. They are very good at negotiating. Brunch was nice. Then it was a quiet rest of the day for me.

Have a nice day.

58 degrees here going to 71. It's already been in the 80ties. Yesterday DD and kids came by and we also had an unscheduled Easter egg hunt. They had already had one at home. Younger DD put it together quickly and it was fun! Later we had dinner and cleanup.

Didn't see Son's kids but he sent pics. DGD was adorable in her Easter outfit. I had already seen it as I've been helping out over there during the week. She looked as if she belonged in a Monet painting with her little straw hat and dreamy look.

The house hunt is going slowly. They've had to raise the price they are willing (and able) to pay by another hundred K. It's daunting. Two suitable (location wise) properties appeared last week. One was too high for the condition etc, but they made an almost full price offer. It got countered twice. They refused the second counter. There was no other bid in and there were 3 factors that would make this house not appraise for asking. Son and DIL are willing to accept a property that's not move in ready but not super overpriced with no renovations and a not up to code problems. Good properties are gone in a few days after listing. Usually cash offers have beaten them out as they need a mortgage.

The second property looked great on paper and in person. It was on a court. All good until the tour. Neighbor had 4 dogs running wild and barking up a storm next door. Another adjacent property owner was using a small alley to dump his large trash. Out of sight of passersby but visible from their back deck. And a stand of bamboo which is pretty invasive around here. Walked away from that one.

Editing to add: I've written this as if they are shopping in a less desirable area. Not so. Most of the homes are very nice, great location, it has the best school for the district. And if price is an indicator, it's way above my threshold and just simply crazy expensive. It was actually shocking to see such noncompliance.

I had to have lawn mower repair on the push mower and the ride on one. Two days of frustration until they were ready so my front yard still looks shaggy. Friday and Saturday were the work days to prepare for peace and harmony on Sunday but it took all of F&S and an hour Sunday morning to get them done. Saturday all was ready and I rode the ride on around the back yard and promptly got a flat front tire. Bought two new ones and it got dark before my next door neighbor finished the installation. He came over early Sunday at 8am and completed and all is well but I would not disturb anyone by mowing on Easter Sunday.

I am also trying to get some berries and tomato plants planted plus an Easter arrangement of potted flowers and a large basket of geraniums moved to larger pots. My other neighbor planted a couple of trees in the back for me (I didn't ask, he just came and did it) as I had started digging the hole but hadn't finished. Love my neighbors!

Part of my deck looks great. The other area needs pressure washing. More leaves and stuff landed there and got wet. My patio needs work also as it's full of blown in leaves and the pods from the nearby maple tree on neighbor's property. I have to sweep those up and pick them out of crevices along the wall as they get stuck and won't go anywhere with the leaf blower. They only need a tiny bit of earth to start growing.

The topper for the day is a deer tick got on my back. I hate those things and had forgotten them until I started feeling a bit of something. DD helped me out and I have a dr's appt tomorrow already set so he will get to check it out. I'm not much interested in getting Lyme's. These ticks are teeny tiny unlike dog ticks.

Hope all are doing well, noting @Pea-n-Me , @bobbiwoz, @PollyannaMom (father) and last but not least, @flyingdumbo127 .

Everyone else, stay well.

Good sunny morning. Going to be 74 today. It got to 84 yesterday. All I heard were mowers and trimmers going all day, so I joined in later in the afternoon and got mine cut and neat again. I also finished weeding the front flower beds and got the mulch down.

Yesterday morning I cleaned out the shed so the neighbor could take the tiller, he promptly did his garden with it. I'm glad to have more room in the shed. I reorganized it, threw out a ton of old flower pots I'll never use, no idea why we ever saved so many, lol.

I had my ham dinner and started watching Ransom Canyon on Netflix.

Summer called yesterday morning and again around dinnertime, but never heard from either of the boys. I'm done with both of them.

Summer has a Koi pond and her husband is making it bigger. While he was at work, the liner wasn't held down by much, so he wouldn't have to keep moving it. She found out yesterday morning that the micro tornado we had (at least that's what they're calling it), pulled back the corner of the liner and her fish were all underneath it. She found it in time to save all but one of them.

Going to move some of the mulch around to the other side of the house so I don't have to keep going back to the shed every time I need another bag.

Have a good day everyone

Good morning hug to all. Spring is definitely in the warmer air here. God willing in just few weeks I will be able to enjoy some sun. I can't wait :)

Health prayers extra to Bobbi, Dazed and her daughter, Pea, and two Quacker dad's of PollyannaMom and Taz.

I will check in again later. Have a great day, friends.

I will have to go back and read as I've skipped through a lot in the last few weeks.

Hug Judique, we are glad to see you today, my friend :)

Dad and I had another nice visit. Our three or so hours together are so special to us both. I truly pray to be getting on home asap! By God's grace, I am doing just that. I did a lot of walking with Susan this morning and we also worked on balance and weight shifting in terms of standing. We agreed on a Friday goal of my getting up ideally on my own but definitely easier and more steady than today. Small steps :)

Late afternoon and evening hugs to all.

Good Evening!

Little late for me to be on here but I have some extra time tonight. My new job has been going well. This is my 3rd week in training. Last week I was in the office every day training and this week I'm doing my training remote. Need to get back in the swing of working 5 days a week again. It will eventually move to 3, 12-hour days, just after my training.

Hope everyone had a nice Easter yesterday. We went to brunch and then I came home and worked in the yard. Got all my grass seed down, fingers crossed it grows.

Have a great day tomorrow.

Humungous hug and prayers for both you and Tom, dear Bobbi. Thinking of you and wishing we lived closer together. Kmow I'm here and care. We all do.

I'm so proud of you dear Footballmouse! You will make a kind difference to many with your new job. How is Mia doing? :)

Sweet dreams with love to all.

@lynxstch, so glad Summer was able to save most of the fish!! :fish:We had a liner problem once as well.

Tom had chest pains and called 911 this morning. He’s been in the hospital all day, they are keeping him tonight. So far, a new heart attack has been ruled out.
Fingers crossed they get it sorted all out and he feels better very soon!

Bobbiwoz Prayers for Tom. I hope they find out what happened and he is feeling better soon. Please take care of yourself too.
Footballmouse Glad to hear the new job is going well.
PollyannaMom Hope your Dad is doing well in rehab.
Judique Good to hear from you. House hunting is tough these days.
Pea Thinking of you.
Taz Prayers for your Dad and family. Hope you all are getting some family time together.
Flyingdumbo127 Great progress!

Good morning. It is 46 now with temps heading into the 70s. It is raining now. Yesterday was a nice sunny day so I walked at the lake. Today it will be the gym as the lake will be muddy after the rain. The HVAC company is coming by today to do maintenance on the AC unit to get it ready for the season. I did have it on for a few hours this weekend as it was warm in here.

Off to work. Have a good day.

Just showered and waiting to leave for my doctor's appt this morning. It's so far routine, had my blood and urine done for it this time. Already looked at my results and my A1C is up by .02. But something else is looking better.

I did my medicare survey as this is also my yearly medicare update. Maryland has snuck in a form for emergency and end of life procedures for us old people or maybe everybody. I have to agree to it and they fill it out and I sign it. Too much to be thinking about this morning!

Son and DiL are reconsidering another house. I'm supposed to report for duty there after my appt but I may abort as I'm sort of tired.

Stay well and happy.

Good morning. Cloudy and 60 right now but supposed to turn sunny and be 72. The slightly cooler temps will feel good. That storm that blew through the other night, came through at 75 mph, no wonder the winds felt so strong.

I weeded and mulched 2 more flower beds yesterday, then stopped before my back protested.

I have a couple of errands to do this morning, and tomorrow Summer asked if she could go grocery shopping with me. I've missed talking to her in person, and she says she's missed me too.

Prayers for Tom @bobbiwoz

Have a good day everyone

Dad was doing well when I left the rehab last night. My uncle was there watching the 🏀 game with him.

I've made it safely to the airport and will be boarding in a bit. First time ever returning a rental car by myself. - It was easier getting out of the airport last week than in this morning 😆 but I made it.
