Dazedx3 Prayers for you as you heal from your cataract surgery. Also for your DD as she goes through her pregnancy. Good and encouraging news so far. Happy Easter to you and your family.

PollyannaMom Glad your Dad had surgery and has started on his journey back to health. Sounds like PT is going to get him on his way to recovery. I hope you get some rest.

Bobbiwoz Thinking of you. Hopefully you can get outside soon with warmer weather and less wind to enjoy your fish pond. I can't help you with the Phillies. I have been a Red Sox fan since listening to games on the radio as a kid with my Nana. I probably could not name one player on the team today but I can name the old time players. :)

Pea Sending good thoughts and prayers to you.

Flyingdumbo Keep up the good work! It sounds like you are giving it 110% effort.

Good morning. It is 38 here now with temps heading to the mid 50s today. It has been so windy here too. Yesterday it was in the 40s and with the wind it was very chilly. Today I hope to get to the lake and walk and meditate in nature. Then one more store to get to for a few items.

Off to work. Have a good day.

Good morning. Sunny and chilly (37) now, going to 65. 85 tomorrow and Saturday. Such a weird range of weather.

I heard a weedwacker last night after dinner, and saw the neighbor doing the yard for me. My back is very grateful. He was doing the bank going down to the road when I went out and he said he gets now why I can't really manage it anymore. Too much of a slope to do. That's one chore I'm not going to miss having off of my to do list, lol

Grass needs mowing again already, but I'm going to let it sit until tomorrow.

Prayers for all who need them.

Have a good day

Just checking in after my chemo yesterday. Long day, but doing ok right now. Have to go out today to get my next post-chemo shot, that’s the one that causes pain, so I dread it. But hopefully it won’t be so bad this time. Hair is challenging me, but I’m figuring things out. Trying to preserve it (last time, head was shaved by now). and restyled it a little myself last night. I bought some thick headbands today as the temple area is really the place where the ice doesn’t hit, so that should help that. The hair part, I swear, is the worst.

Glad to hear everyone’s good news. Praying for all of us! 🙏 🐥

Thank you dear Snowysmom, I sure am trying! I'm always glad when you are able to take a walk as it sounds like a peaceful and healing experience which you know I pray it is. Just please bundle up out there and be careful. I also hope your shopping goeswell.

By God's grace today is indeed new dear Bobbi. You please dress warmly also if you head outside. I hope the Phillies do better today. Most of all, always, prayers that you continue to feel better.

Dear Lynn, God Bless your neighbor! You absolutely need chore respite! I just thought of our friend B&B who also took on alot of home maintenance and upkeep projects and chores. Prayers she is doing well. Always prayers that all is good for you my friend, Lynn, you know that.

Just love dear Pea. I wish I lived closer and could accompany you (if you wanted) to your appointment. I, we all will, do so virtually. Hugs!

Good early Thursday friends. I did enjoy some good sleep last night thanks to God. I am looking forward to pt in a couple hours that God willing will bring me another day closer to home.

Hugs to all. I will check back in later :)

Good thoughts and prayers for everyone.

Good morning. It is 34 now with temps heading into the 60s. Yesterday I did some walking around the complex as well as went to Hannafords to pick up a few things. I may go to Wegman's tomorrow morning before 7 am to get some things for Easter brunch at Jeff's. I am making mini chocolate chip muffins. I have Easter baskets for the grandkids and Kenny and Jeff. I still miss making up an Easter basket for Chris and getting one from him. He always got me way too much candy and I would bring the extra into the office. I have extra this year because I bought a bit too much on sale so in a few weeks when I next go into the office I will be bringing the extra candy in.

Have a good day.

Good morning. 44 now heading for 85. I got all the yard work done yesterday and even managed to clean the shed out and get the deck chairs, table, umbrella and stand out and onto the deck. I didn't want to be doing it in the heat later today or tomorrow. Also uncovered the AC unit so that's ready for the hot weather.

Making a quick stop at Martins and then staying put for the weekend.

Have a good day everyone. Happy Good Friday

Good Friday prayers and hug to all. I am posting a little early. A my roommate is thankfully sleeping now. We (A especially) had a most unwelcome experience at 6am that reminded me of my encounter with the supposed ENT doctor a few weeks ago.

At about 6am a man (not known to me and he did not reveal his name or even if he was a nurse) banged in here. It sounded like he was opening some type of heavy box or setting up something, he sure didn't say. He finally did tell A (still without introducing himself) that he was here to take her blood. He asked her her name which go A, (remember English is not her native language), told him. He repeated it. He genuinely didn't seem to know A from anyone else. He just kept saying, "please. Just a little (in terms of letting him take her blood)." A clearly said, "No." He approached her closer anyway and from behind the shower curtain it sounded like was going to ignore A and take her blood anyway. I pray not but it sounded like he had put on rubber gloves. I reminded him that, "she said no," and that it was 6am! Ahn said to him, "sorry." I told her not to be. He thankfully left and Ahn thanked me.Yikes.

A minute after the man above left, a possibly new charge nurse who had come in earlier to tell A not so kindly that the CNA had just changed her, returned upset. She told A, (taking blood was) "doctor's orders. Okay?" A said, "No." This nurse kept pestering poor A. A finally said she didn't speak English. "I don't know," which the lady turned around and asked A in a not so nice way, "You don't know? No?" Finally she left. Thank God neither of them have returned. What horrible patient treatment! :/

Big hug dear Snowysmom, I would love one of your chocolate chip muffins. Dad gets me Kroger brand mini chocolate chip muffins from Ralphs which I enjoy. Your muffins homemade with love I know there would be no comparison to. Enjoy some candy yourself.

Dear Lynn, please do, "stay put," and take an R&R break this weekend!

Take care dear friends and never let anyone treat you unkindly. You know I thank each of you always for all the caring faith and friendship you spread. Love and appreciation to all. I will check back in later.

Good morning. It is sunny and supposed to be near 80 today. Too warm for this time of year. It seems like it is either too chilly or too warm! I hope to get to the lake again today. I have been to Wegman's. At 6:30 it was not crowded at all. As I was leaving, there were lots of cars coming into the shopping area. I got some housework done and will be making my muffins. I got a box mix just in case my from scratch recipe is not good. The recipe gets good reviews so I am hopeful. Plus I get to taste test. I am finding this holiday to be tough this year. I wish I could see the kids and grandkids for more than just a couple of hours on Easter. But at least I do get to spend some time with them.

Have a nice Saturday.

Good morning. We got to 87 yesterday and are supposed to hit 88 today, slight chance of a thunderstorm. My best friend in CO had snow yesterday and a high temp of 34. Weather is nutty everywhere.
I have every window open, and every ceiling fan on. The AC may get turned on today.

I went flower shopping yesterday, it was too nice to stay in the house. Treated myself to lunch and a frozen custard after that. They didn't have their tomato plants yet, she said on Monday, so I'll go back during the week. I only want 2-3 plants anyhow, no more planting 3 dozen, lol. These will go in big pots, I already bought tall metal trellises to support them.

Off to strip and remake the bed, hopefully I'll hear from Summer today that they made it home safely. I haven't heard from her since Monday.

Have a good day everyone

Good morning friends. Wow it sounds like the weather is spring-ing up. Dear Snowysmom and dear Lynn, please enjoy some sunshine and for me.

I slept well last night which was such a blessing. A, my roommate was quiet. What disturbed me was a charge nurse leaving our door open around 5am. It's too loud around here, even at that hour, for an open door. I was so blessed to be able to close it before using the restroom.

L, my dear mom friend will be working another double shift today and tomorrow because this place is short staffed. She was also here 16 hours yesterday. I keep her in extra prayer especially for health and travel home late at night. I worked at a laundromat years ago on a later evening shift. I was grateful to switch with a coworker who preferred those hours the next day. I am not a night owl.

Saturday joy to all. Extra hugs PollyannaMom, Dazed, Pea, and Bobbi. I will check back later.

Hi everyone! It’s a beautiful day here in Cape May! 69° right now !

I have seen improvements in my bowels!! I am now hopeful to be able to get to our granddaughter’s college graduation in May! Monday will be 8 weeks since my surgery.

Today, Holy Saturday, our young cousin Konnor will join our church. Luckily it will be live feed and my sister and I will be watching st home. Tom is Konnor’s godfather/sponsor, and he’s there. Konnor (16) had asked us to sponsor him two years ago. I had no idea what a HIPEC surgery was at that time, and fully expected to be with him on this very important day!

Nancy, my sister, is spending the day with me. Tom will be spending the night closer to the church in Newark. Tomorrow, he’ll pick up Garry, and the four of us will celebrate Easter together!

I hope everyone has a good afternoon. Phillies are beating the Marlins 4-10 right now!

Blessed Holy Saturday news, all-around dear Bobbi. I am so deeply thankful to God. God Bless Konnor and I am so grateful that you will be able to watch him become a church member and then God willing see him tomorrow. He is sure blessed to have you.

It's a lovely afternoon here. Dad and I enjoyed our lunch together. This morning I did my exercise of going around the hallways using my feet and legs to move the wheelchair. On my circuit, I saw three CNA's that I've gotten to know. One of them is especially sweet always. All three were happy for me at the progress God has enabled me to make. I truly am so blessed.

Enjoy the rest of the afternoon everyone :)

May extra prayers for us both dear Bobbi and thank you. On weekends especially when I don't have therapy, it really is even more important for me to go around. I also stretch my feet sitting at the edge of the bed as Susan taught me. I'm sure trying to do my part to get out of here within a few weeks.

I've had the same nurse E all day. A, my roommate had a male nurse (as she does most mornings) and we both have E now. I really like E. She and I share a strong faith. I was hoping my nurse would be my dear mom friend L. I did get to give her a hug when I saw her not long ago.

Dad has left. It will be extra special to see him tomorrow on Easter. I am so blessed.

Eggs-tra hug to all with love.

Happy Easter! Today is a nice sunny day with temps heading into the 60s. Heading to Jeff's in a bit for brunch. Aimee always sets up an Easter egg hunt for the kids. I promised Charlotte I would help her. The chocolate chip mini muffins taste good but they stick to the paper a bit and leave a little bit behind. That's fine, they will enjoy them.

Have a great day.

HAPPY EASTER!

We had a brief but powerful storm blow through last night. There was a gust of wind that sounded like a tornado, and then pouring rain for about 5 minutes. Kept getting texts from the elec co about power being out and would be restored asap, but we never lost power. I finally had to text stop, since they kept sending the same texts until 3 am.
I had run out in the rain to put the deck chairs out of the way, and brought the cushions inside. I'm glad that I put all the trays of flowers on the front porch out of the wind.
I saw big pieces of wood in the middle of the street and when I got dressed and went out, I saw it was the big wooden open sign for the antique place across the street. It was broken in a bunch of pieces, so I picked them up and put them in front of their garage door. They always have at least a dozen plastic lawn chairs on their sidewalk, and those were all over the place, so I picked them up and put them back on the sidewalk. One huge limb broke off of one of my lilac bushes, but that's the only damage I see except for one empty cocoa straw planter which was out in the driveway.

The morning dawned bright and sunny and still 64 degrees heading for 74.

I texted Summer around dinnertime to ask if they made it home safely, she was still an hour away. Said she would call when they got home, but of course she didn't.

Not planning on doing much of anything today, maybe just sitting on the deck in the sunshine.

Have a lovely day everyone.

Happy Easter everyone. May God's Miracle of this day renew afresh in your hearts. Alleluia, Christ is Risen! I look forward to watching worship later. God willing next year, I will be able to attend an Easter Sunrise service in person. For me, that early dawn worship is just beautiful. I prefer quiet, more reverant hymns and choir anthems which this service features. Plus, to watch the sun rise as all around me and within my own heart. Jesus, God's Son, rises anew, is so precious and healing.

Dear Snowysmom, your muffins sound wonderful. I would enjoy one for sure. Have a great time with your precious grandkids today.

Dear Lynn, sitting on your deck deck in sunny weather sounds like a lovely way to relax. I pray it is.

Have a beautiful and blessed Easter dear friends. I will check back later.
