Just a quick check in before we head out to breakfast.

Had an on time uneventful flight, for which I was grateful. I haven't traveled alone in so long it was a little intimidating, but I managed. Colorado is beautiful, just as hot as it was at home, but with less humidity. The time change is already throwing me off, but I'll get used to it. We're going to take it easy today so I can get acclimated to the altitude change, and then planning on doing the Denver Botanical Gardens tomorrow.

Good morning! @lynxstch, I enjoyed Denver’s Botanical Garden in the ‘90’s when Tom worked in Denver for 9 months. I visited him often. Enjoy!

@lynxstch glad you had an uneventful flight. We are flying into Denver next week before heading to Seattle. No direct flights but Mikey is happy about it as he hopes to meet a "friend". He never met this person in person, he knows him from gaming. I will not leave him alone.

Had a great day today. Went to Lancaster for my birthday. Got another Jim Shore piece for my collection. It was nice spending time with my daughter and 3 grandkids especially because 2 are adults now and Ella isn't far behind. Now I'm just relaxing after a very long day, especially as the drive home was through some bad thunderstorms. Visibility was almost non existent which is never fun. The storms should hit here overnight.

We had a layover last year in Denver, nice airport and scenery! We liked the plane hanging on the ceiling.

Snowysmom, I like the sound of all of your cruise ideas! You must be getting excited! When do you go?

I made a delicious corn chowder today. Had two cups it was so good, one for lunch and one later on!

DS had another flight cancelled today due to rain. He stayed for a while, though. Dogs were happy.

DD is feeling better now. Thanks for the good thoughts.

Taz Happy Birthday!

Pea I leave Friday. I like the we can just drive to the port. Glad your DD is feeling better and you had a nice visit with your DS.

Good morning. Rainy, dreary day. It is 60 now and temps only going to around 70. I did some walking yesterday as well as errands. I only have packing my actual clothes left to do before the cruise. I am not sure how the cruise will go so I am a bit anxious about it but since I cannot control it, I will just let it be. I know I will be thinking of Chris as he loved the Bermuda cruise. When I talk with my wonderful friend today I know she will have some good advice for me. She always knows what to say.

Off to work. I am trying to be caught up before vacation as when I get back work will be a mess and alot to do. Have a good day.

I wanted to speed this up a bit so I did the potatoes in the microwave first, then peeled (easier!). I used half and half instead of heavy cream, canned corn this time instead of fresh, and low sodium broth. Enjoy!

Good morning. One last hot day here, 95. Then only 70 the next couple of days with rain. We have contingency plans n case the weathermen are right. Summer called me last night from Ocean City. They were supposed to leave early yesterday morning to drive down, but for some reason they didn't leave until almost noon and didn't get there until almost 5. So they lost most of their first day. They only have today and tonight now, and it's supposed to rain there. Hardly worth the long drive.

I heard it rained at home and it's supposed to rain for the next 3 days. Of course it is, lol.

Time for breakfast and then heading to Denver. Have a great day.
