Good Monday morning, :cold:

Worked nightshift this past weekend so not much happening with me. I was able to get my Xmas tree decorated yesterday 🎄. Had the football games on for background noise, the Bengals don't play until tonight.

Didn't watch anything fun this weekend and I definitely didn't cook.

Tonight I'm going to the library craft night, not sure what we are making. Tomorrow night I have a hair appointment and then Wednesday night is our office Xmas party (don't really want to go but I will). I have a busy week.

Bobbiwoz - have fun at Disney (so very jealous 😏)!!!

Have a great day!

Good morning! Been busy, we had that reception and wedding to go to this past weekend, which was lovely, and now we’re finally relaxing a bit at Disney. This is the first morning since last Thursday that I haven’t been running around. Unfortunately my throat is a little scratchy so I’m taking it easy this morning, still having coffee and relaxing in bed. DS left to golf and DH and DD are headed over to Disney Springs. We walked to the pool yesterday to get a drink and there was a sudden downpour that lasted about 15 minutes. Luckily we were at a table under an umbrella (sipping pina coladas🍹) so we managed to stay mostly dry. Funny how it can go from sunny to pouring and back to sunny again in such a short time around here!

The weather’s been nice, it was mid 80s the past couple of days (and absolutely perfect for the wedding, which was outside). DH and I went shopping at the outlet mall while the kids went to Seaworld on Friday. It was our first time there and somehow we lost our car! (I was like, I guess we’re officially old! :lmao:In fairness the food court has a front and back entry and we went out the wrong one, unknowingly, lol.) So walking around in the sun trying to find the car made us all sweaty 😬 but other than that, it’s been nice. I was debating on what to wear for the wedding because last December when we were here it was in the 30s! That made it challenging to pack because you have to be prepared for everything. So the dress I brought was a little warm, but, in contrast, most of the men were absolutely dripping with sweat being in suits and ties! (DS brought his old dress shoes instead of the brand new ones he got this fall and the sole broke, so he had to spend the day in his socks.)

We are missing our boys! I called the kennel and they’re fine, but still. I met a service dog who the lady let me pat, and he just leaned into me and wouldn’t leave! :lovestruc Then yesterday we ran into four, yes four, dogs who looked a lot like my Toto so it was nice, but it made me really miss him even more. He’s getting older now. DH noticed a store at the mall that had little Totos on their purses (which I had never seen before AND we would never have found had we not lost the car) so I bought one. Have been looking for a new purse for trips anyway, so I got a backpack style, bigger than my Loungefly, which isn’t quite big enough for my wallet and toiletry/makeup/med bag (whatever you want to call it) that I keep with me. We went back yest as DD wanted to see it and she bought a couple of things, and I wound up getting a little bag I was on the fence about on Friday, one that just holds your phone and cards and lipstick. Everything was about 50% off. 👍 I used that yesterday and it was so nice not to have to carry a big bag around.

Bobbi if I see you around I will be sure to say hello! Idk if they have it where you are but they have the Alexa things in the rooms now and it’s so nice to listen to Disney music while here. We really enjoyed it last night, all of us were on our iPads in the room, TV off, just listening to the songs. I told DD I want one for home and she said it’s just an Alexa with Disney i heart radio or something like that. I do have Disney songs on Spotify w Bluetooth so I may just do that more often at home. Anyway, it’s a nice touch. We also brought our little XMas tree from last year. For some reason, it doesn’t seem as Christmas-y here as it did last year. Maybe because we were here for the actual day, idk. But I do know I am going to get that turkey dinner again at Epcot. :goodvibes

Sorry to hear many are struggling. Sending hugs and good thoughts and prayers, as always. :grouphug:

Enjoy your Monday! 🐥

@Pea-n-Me I hope you have a fun time at Disney. I love the sound of the Toto bag. I was on a cruise once and saw a westie bag. I had to have that. I am sure your boys are doing well together.

@PollyannaMom Good idea about the shower seat. There were places where I used to live that lent out medical equipment like that.

Lynn Glad Luke will be coming by to help you out.

I just found out that the builder of this complex is suing the town for the stop work order. There is a closed meeting tonight of the conservation commission and the town board. I believe he is out of his mind. He just wants to finish up, take the money, and run. I am both interested and a bit afraid of what the inspector will find tomorrow.

I had a meeting with my boss today and got the kind of dreaded request to work more hours. I have been putting them off until I was settled somewhere. Well, she said now that you are settled let's talk. I told her I will not work 40 hours a week but will consider 35. It is an extra hour a day plus I have to take a nonpaid 1/2 hour lunch. I can take a walk during that time. Since I am looking for things to do in the afternoon anyway I decided to do it. I going to ask to start after the holidays. I talked with Jeff about it and he is in agreement with me. I told him if I find I don't want to do it anymore I can retire when I want to. Right now my job keeps me busy and focused.

Have a good evening.

Quacker Family,
I just got a text from Mona asking me to send extra prayers for her. She's at the hospital waiting to be seen about her foot. So I'm doing as she asked, please send prayers her way.
Oh my gosh, of course - I hope she is all right and they are able to get it all sorted out for her!

I hope the walk was most enjoyable!

I will be in WDW with friends from Tomorrow to Saturday. My oldest son, Matt, is working in FL this week. I was able to get him a one bedroom for Thursday night, so he and I and maybe my DSis, can have dinner on Thursday. I got an ADR at Turf Club for the three of us.

Matt lives in MA, and we don’t see each other often enough! Imagine how happy I was to get a room for him this week!

I'm here also, @bobbiwoz. So nice for you to spend time with your son! Going to walk out for some dinner in a bit.

Thanks for passing this info on...I'm really sorry it came to this and she must have been in a great deal of discomfort, but hopefully she will get a chance to have a Dr. physically see to her now. I hope her wait doesn't drag on for hours and hours and their recommendations and/or the meds they may prescribe are well received. She has been dealing with this for what seems like a long time so I will 100% keep her in my thoughts this evening, that she receives speedy & compassionate care, as well as a plan to move forward in her healing.

Good evening everyone. Not much going on here - shrimp over salad for dinner and now we are watching the Rick Steve's European Christmas special we watch every year...which of course brings up the yearly question "should we do a Christmas Markets trip next year?" :duck:even though we already decided to go somewhere else! NEXT YEAR THOUGH ha ha!!!

It's 8 PM on the east coast, and we are not ones to be up late, probably will hit the hay by 9 - I'll check back one more time to see if there is any update on Mona.

I hate to hear that it's come to this but am glad also because she really needed to get her foot/feet attended to. I hope that she hasn't waited too long and something really serious is going on. I'll definitely continue praying for her.

My car is in the shop. The sensor for my ABS system is out and the replacement part finally came in. I hope that it doesn't take too many days to fix it.

Made Mexican Cornbread for dinner. It is a recipe that has been around for ages though I had never made it. It was okay, Joe said he voted not to make it again and I agreed.

Agreed, and maybe this is a blessing in disguise? I'm really quite glad she is getting the medical attention she needed before it got any worse! I felt so bad reading her posts, with no apparent resolution to her situation.

Agree with you both. This has been going on for months now (first post about her feet was at the end of July?). As scary as it might be, it is time to do whatever needs to be done to get this issue resolved and on the road to improvement.

Sending prayers to Mona. I hope her hospital visit brings her the help she needs and a referral to a good doctor.

I hope everyone in WDW has a nice time. It makes me think about going next Christmas for a few days.

Good morning. It is 35 degrees here, heading into the 40s. The inspector comes this morning and I see the therapist this afternoon. I will try to fit work in between everything. I am sure my boss would appreciate it. I did decide for sure to work 35 hours a week but I am trying to get it to start after the holidays. See what she says.

Have a good day.

Good morning everyone,
I haven't heard anymore from Mona and didn't get any reply to my last text asking for an update. Hopefully she'll be back this morning sometime to let us all know what's going on. I'm sure she appreciates all the prayers. I hope they are able to do something to help the discomfort she's been having with her feet.
Its 38 outside and only going to around 42. I have quite a few errands to do this morning, 2 of them being Amazon returns, 1 to UPS, 1 to Kohls, along with the bank, and grocery shopping. While I'm glad to be getting out and about, I still feel uncomfortable around crowds right now, so I keep to myself in the stores.
First I have a whole car load of trash to take down to the street tomorrow.

I'm working up a few minutes at a time on the elliptical. I don't want to end up throwing my bad knee out. So far so good, I put my earbuds in, crank up the music and just get down to business, lol

Have a great day everyone

Happy happy Tuesday!!!

The Bengals won last night! :cheer2:

Went to the library last night for craft night. This was a cute little craft. We had to email the craft lady our favorite book titles, she recommended no more than 15. I sent titles in of my favorite books to read to my boys when they were little (Little Critter, Froggy, Spot the Dog, Give a Mouse a Cookie, etc.). She then printed out a mini version of the book cover and we just cut those out and stuck them on foam board (mini size) and put them in a clear ornament. It doesn't sound elaborate but it will be cute to be able to go back and see it from year to year.

Treated myself to Chipotle on the way home. Wanted a special treat while watching the football game. Tonight I have a hair appointment and then I'll stop at Kroger to grab some gift cards for the kid's stockings, St. Nick comes tonight.

Hopefully we'll get an update from flyingdumbo today, I know everyone is concerned.

That's about it, have a great day!
