Good morning. 38 now going to 40, I don't think we'll notice the 2 degrees difference, lol

I couldn't fall asleep last night, it was probably 3:30 or 4, so I slept until 7:15. The sound of the trash truck woke me. I love our trash company. They took every single thing I had out there, even though I was 'over the limit'. I've never had them leave one thing and they pick up anything they drop.

I have a couple of gifts I need to wrap so I can get them in the mail next week. I don't like waiting until the last minute and then trust the post office to get there on time. I mailed all of my thank you cards out last week. It took as long to get from our city to our city as it did for one to get to CO. Go figure that one out.

I don't know what I'm going to get into today, but I'm sure I can find something.
Have a great day everyone.

Happy Hump Day!🐪

snowysmom - Happy Birthday!!!! Have a great time tonight at dinner.🎂

Pollyanna - you seem excited for the snow. If that was at my house, I would have posting a crying face.😭

Skipped lunch yesterday at work so I was able to leave 30 minutes early. I had lots of errands to run. Stopped at HobbyLobby to look for a matching stocking for Mitchell's girlfriend, Erin, of course they didn't have them. Dropped off 3 bags of stuff and a golf bag to the Salvation Army; stopped at the post office to get Xmas stamps and mailed my Xmas cards. Got my hair cut and finished up at Kroger getting Mia some teething snacks for her stocking and Erin a gift card for hers. I actually heated up leftovers for dinner when I got home. Usually I would have stopped somewhere and picked something up. I had to cancel my bank debit card last week, I was hacked 😡. Someone bought almost $400 of stuff using my number so the bank opened an investigation but I don't have a debit card to use and I'm trying very hard not to use my credit card so I haven't been buying stuff. My Xmas purchases all come from my Xmas account.

My office Xmas party is tonight, not really looking forward to this 😒. They're doing a white elephant gift exchange (funny gift) but I decided not to spend $20 on something dumb so I'm not doing it. A couple of girls in the office said they just bought something decent, not funny.

Guess that's about it, have a great day and stay warm!

Happy Birthday, Snowysmom! 🎉 🎈🎂

@Judique Glad you had a nice stay! We heard the fireworks after midnight over the weekend and were wondering who the heck was lighting them off at that time of night! Lol. Family went to Luminous last night. I’d already done all of Epcot yesterday and decided to not deal with those crowds again last night - saw them coming in as we were leaving in the afternoon. I guess it was super crowded, not surprisingly. In classic form, family had scoped out a nice spot and at the last minute, three people came and stood right in front of them. 😬

Weather was nice yesterday it would’ve been perfect had I not worn a long sleeved shirt, which made it a little warm walking around WS. But sitting in the shade from time to time I also got a little chilly. So it balanced out.

I did enjoy my turkey dinner at the American Pavilion. :lovestruc

DS got tacos and street corn at the booth in Mexico that looked delish but I wasn’t hungry then.

DD got a bread bowl in Germany it looked good too.

I treated myself to a Kaki Gori and also got some Werther’s chocolate drizzled popcorn to take home.

(Will have to add bread pic later.)

By request one of our Quackers asked if I saw any celebrations of Walt’s birthday.

They unveiled his new statue yesterday in Future World. Such a nice touch. :lovestruc

We also got to see Moana’s Water World which we were looking forward to.

Very fun! And wet! 💦 Will be really nice on a hot day!

They also had a Moana meet and greet right outside her new land.

I hope everyone has a good Wednesday! 🐥

You know, we have a WDW trip planned at the end of January. I've not been feeling it truth be told. But your post just now has kinda sorta got me thinking that I'll have a good time once I'm there! So thanks for the pick me up!

Glad to help out! 😝 We’ve had quite a few late January trips when kids were younger. One word: Layers.

You never know what the weather’s going to be like here during the winter. (At least the summer’s more predictable!) We had a lot of March trips and one year it was in the 30s, and the next it was in the 70s! Last December it was in the 30s, this year it’s 60-80s! Bring a little of everything.

Oh I know! We've been going in late Jan/early Feb for over 20 years! It's what we call our 'mid winter long weekend get away' ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: aka I need a shot of warmth & humidity even if it's only 60degrees!
I still always struggle with packing. It didn’t help that we had a wedding, too, this trip. So much luggage, lol. Thankfully we rented a van. I prefer not to pack that way if I can help it.

The packing can be rough...I did carry on only to a trip to Tahoe in August (4 nights) and it's my goal to do the same to WDW (5 nights). I have a delusion I might be able to do carry on only for my next trip to Europe and I'm sure I'm wrong , but baby steps - right?!?!

Let us know how it works out! I’m jealous of that, not sure I could do it, lol

I love that statue too. We had some small balls of snow falling earlier, and the sky is gray and menacing. It's cold outside, so I'm staying in.

Puttered around in the cellar, got on the elliptical while waiting for the dryer to finish so I could fold and bring clothes up.

I haven't done any writing in awhile, so I think I might work on that for a little while.
Have a nice afternoon everyone

Third from the bottom.........

Happy Birthday Snowy!!

CT Scans and X-rays at last revealed two fractured toes in my left foot. That is why I am in so much agony.
I'm glad that you've discovered what was causing the extreme pain. Now to find out what caused the pain before the fractures.
We've always had a relationship where when we get together we are right there all over again. As if time has stood still. Apparently she didn't couldn't reach me on my cell and I long ago shut down the landlines. The cell issue is she is in another country and I have to turn on calling for that country, as simple as that. Got that done and will call as soon as it's a decent time. I'm excited because I'm thinking she might want to come visit!
I had a phone call from a friend yesterday morning that I don't see or talk to very often but we pick up just like we were together the day before. Found out that she now lives about 30 minutes from me. Looking forward to seeing her sometime soon!

Finally got my car back from the shop. Fortunately there wasn't anything pressing for me to do except go to see my cardiologist for my yearly follow up. Joe took me and got to meet him. Got to get a new blood pressure device, neither of mine were working right. Found out that I've lost a little weight so that was good to know.

❤️💯🐥Family truly with all my love and appreciation. Quick later night message to simply say I love and appreciate each of you so dearly. Thank you all for your extra prayers and care. How blessed I am God made me a Quacker :) Dad and I thanks to God did get rest last night. 10:30-3:30 which was incredible for me not to have gotten up. After a half hour bathroom visit, yes it takes that long or more to get me up (hardest part) and onto the walker to use especially after being bed, we got more sleep for a few more hours. Pain always worse when I first wake up after having been in bed so long. I will have done today 1150mg of ibuprofen so still under 1200 and still kiddo version. It does help! Seems to kick in about 30-40 minutes after taking and last few hours. One day at a time all through Grace of God.

I am not a fan of wide leg pants normally. However, such a thing is exactly what I desperately need now in pajama pants. I need any pants to easily be able to go on and come off over boot quickly without touching the boot! I've been wearing the same pajama pants since my shower Monday morning! I am someone who values cleanliness so much and in normal times, of course, shower and put on fresh clothing daily. I wear pajamas two days. I definitely feel grungy now for sure! Did get a dry shampoo today and the no soap required sponges from Amazon Yelena recommended. Will try both tomorrow. Just need PJ suggestions! Remember I prefer a very thin non elastic waistband. :thanks:

Huge :bday:💓Snowysmom! Many prayers you enjoyed a happy day as lovely as you are my friend. Much extra love.

Prayers appreciated that I once again sleep well and relatively relieved of pain tonight and continue going go forward toward healing. If one of you would also do me a huge favor and post an update, you can even copy paste my update from yesterday and/or this one, in the Gratitude thread, I would really appreciate it so much. Online time right now as you can imagine more limited. I will post in that thread asking anyone to check here.

XOXO and Sweet Dreams.

Good morning!!!🎄

Had my office Xmas party last night. It was fun and everyone thanked me for planning such a nice party and I had a fun game to play for the gift exchange.🎁

Made it home in time to watch The Amazing Race so I'm exhausted this morning. I'll have to watch Survivor tonight when I get home.:happytv:

Definitely didn't feel like getting my breakfast or lunch together last night when I got home and I hit the snooze button this morning so I didn't have time this morning. I did notice there wasn't a line at Dunkin's drive-thru so I zipped in there and got my bagel and tea.🥯

Back to work, have a great day!

Footballmouse…. Sounds like a great part! I’d love to hear about your gam. I’m trying to plan one for our family Christma.

Snowy… Happy Birthday and prayers for a calm and peaceful holiday!

Lynn… I wish I had the energy to stay as busy as you. Take care of yourself first, though. Grief takes a lot of work and energy, just my opinion, but I think it is really important work.

Mona.. glad to hear you and Dad were able to sleep better, prayers for healing.

I had my driveway redone this week and the snowblower was put on the rider lawnmower. I’m dreading the snow blowing but I wasn’t able to find anyone to plow it so I guess it will be me. I’ve been hearing we are supposed to get a lot of snow this year😡.

I have always loved the holiday season so much, but now there’s a dark cloud hanging over it. I know Kris would want me to still do all my crazy prep for the season and I am trying but it is bittersweet. Even as I write this tears are running down my face. I know that many of you understand how hard missing someone is.

I know exactly how you feel. The holiday season just isn't the same this year for me either. I'm fighting through it, still trying to make the house look cheerful, if only for myself. I had tears running down my face reading this part of your message. I wish you peace and love this season. I know that Kris , as well as my Don, are looking down on us, watching to make sure we are okay in the best possible way we can be right now. God Bless
